I know this has been out for a long time, but I am adding it to my game again. If you want the ripper animations you can change them in easily with FO3edit or in GECK if you want a pain in the arse. I did it last time I used this and it worked just fine.

Handsome! By the way, do you have an green version as well? I mean, green on both sides of the sword and not just near the handle

Might it be possible to make a version that funtions on the same principle as the ripper, where you can continue an attack, as opposed to it function more like a slashing weapon(Sword)

      That's what Amstrad's mod does.

Is it hidden? I only have the option to hide it, not unhide it.

    In response to post #21662569.

It was purely GECK changes. I just looked at the Chinese officer's sword and used the same animations. I also had to change the stats a bit for balance.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

The chain knife won't do regular attacks, any suggestions on dealing with this problem?

Hi, I'm using the port of the original sword to new vegas and I wonder was it difficult to give the weapon sword animations? Did you just change some things in the GECK or was there modelling involved? If just the GECK can you tell me what you changed? Nice mod you have done, wish I still had FO3!

I feel you. The current ripper graphic looks fairly knife-like, but it could be better. I have very little talent for working with the graphics myself; other than a few odd bits for Morrowind, I haven't messed with it much. However, I am contacting Ummthingy, who did the graphics for the chainsword, to see if s/he would be willing to make a custom graphic. =)

Edit: Unless i'm misunderstanding you, and you want a different chain on the chainsword? It looks pretty much like the canon 40k chainsword, other than that it seems to run counterclockwise instead of clockwise. How would you see it improved?

Hmm, I guess the teeth are a bit bulkier and have more of a hooked edge. I'll see what I can do if ummthingy contacts me back, but considering he made these meshes 6 years ago, I'm not sure if he's still around. I kind of like how it looks currently, though; it has a Wasteland feel to it, like these weapons were made post-war or they had to use scavenged parts to repair them. If we can get a new mesh made, i'll probably use both the old and the new ones.
