You know this mod makes a lot of sense without all the light pollution that earth gives off we can see the milky way and so much more.

The night sky looks amazing now, this mod is a must!
This is my third time playing this game and nights never looked so cool. Thanks a lot for the mod and of course endorsed.

    In response to post #18017014.

I have that happen in New Vegas, not in Fallout 3. I figure that, if removed, it would be replaced by the one in the .bsa anyway, wouldn't it? Maybe a transparent texture could work...

When using DC Moods, it adds a Moonshadow.dds to your textures.  Removing said .dds will eliminate the black ring around the moon.

Maybe try re installing dc moods, or another lighting solution like project reality. You could also try another star field texture. If you still have the black blob you may have accidentally deleted a moon texture of a particular moon phase..

thanks for the feed back mightygalactus but I'm gonna try and edit the moon using the geck or I will just bit the bullet. -_- also I'm a dumb ass turns out I did this during a full shadow over the moon and that's why it looked like it had a big black spot, it still has the black ring but this sky is to damn beautiful not even the black ring is enough of a "flaw" to make me feel negative about this mod.

This is great work but when using with DC Moods I found that it highlighted an issue with the moon. There is some unsightly shadow surrounding the moon that you don't see normally as it blends into a black star field. With the blue used in this nebula, the black shadow stands out, not a fault of the mod itself. Will try with some moon replacers. Looks great and really want to keep using it. Thanks for the share.

To do away with the black ring around the moon, go to Data\Textures\sky and remove moonshadow.dds.

Tried a moon replacer and still had the black spot. Backed up then deleted the moonshadow file and no more black spot. Thanks for the advice. Its strange that DC moods would add such a thing. Might try and reinstall dc moods and remove the shadow to see why it was needed. Or I might stop being anal and just play the game.
