They shouldn't conflict with anything really except mods that changes locations. And that is just the placement of the bottle itself and may not fit an interior change like a bottle I placed on a file cabinet is now floating in the air because the file cabinet was moved.
None of the effects the bottles have change the effects themselves I applied vanilla effects to the bottles and changed how long and how strong the effect is on the bottle, the vanilla effects remain the same. A mod that changes vanilla effects will make changes to my bottles but muy bottles wont have any effect on another mod that uses the same or changes those effects.
My guess is, if I use a mod that edits GNR building, Outcast HQ., or Ranger Compound, or Cleaned Rivet City...I'm going to miss some of these bottles, correct? If that's the case, it's just not worth it. Also, if it is the case...you should have considered other environment mods before placing the bottles. I don't see too many dl's for this, so I'm guessing that I'm guessing correctly.
The bottles may still be there but on the floor or in an odd place. Just because a couple might be missing is no reason to not use the mod if you want a scavenger hunt.
Consider other environment mods? you mean I am supposed to download and check every single mod available that changes a vanilla location in any way? Are you crazy? I would still be working on this mod today making sure I didn't place one on a cabinet that may have moved. That's a tall order to fill.
Oh and the reason there are so few downloads is because there's not a whole lot of people who enjoy these kinds of mods after all the years the game has been out. Scavenger hunt mods are kinda a niche mod and even in 2012 a high quality scavenger hunt mod in Skyrim didn't have huge numbers and there were 10's of thousands of players more than this game had when I uploaded this. if it was an armor or new weapon then yeah the downloads are a dismal amount, but those numbers don't have anything to do with quality.
Sorry if I offended you. I've got your mod installed even with my location mods. Figured finding some of them would be just as fun as finding them all. This is actually my idea of fun. I'm a scavenger. More people should get into collecting teddy bears imo.
Actually, location mods wouldn't be that difficult to consider in FO3. Just go to the building catagory section on Nexus and that pretty much hits everything you'd have to consider effecting your mod. Most of those are hideouts. That and maybe quest mods, but there's really not much there to consider. For instance, I downloaded a historic items mod that puts historical items thoughout the wastes. The author listed the locations of his items and I found that I had to delete the Halls of Today in oder to collect his stuff. Just sayin. All I meant was you would have larger downloads if you didn't interfere with location mods, and visa versa. It scared me away, at first. Then the scavenger in me, made me come back.
Anyway, I do like your mod and did endrose it. It's too bad more people don't download it. You did put good effort into it.
Oh I wasn't offended or even upset. Just explaining why I didn't do any checks for mods that change locations. It would've been a ridiculous amount of time to do. Explaining that if there was a mod that changed a location doesn't really hurt this or that mod and explaining why there's so few downloads or endorsements.
I am glad you decided to give it a go and if you play FNV I made a version for that game as well.
Hey i dont know if you do suggestions but i got a nice mod idea. Here it is http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2028623-scavanger-mission/ I hope you can make this mod becuse noone is saying that they are doing it in the post please reply if you might do it
Haha yeah finding them is going to be a bit of "fun" I only remember about 4 locations I placed them in and not including the exterior, I found 1 of the ones I forgot where I placed it. I was originally going to do 100 of them with 50 inside and 50 outside then after getting the first 50 done I decided it would be too much work. So my bad, less to find makes more places to look that doesn't have one.
they all look good but i think the beer bottle would look better if u could use the FO3 bottle cap teture and maybe try find if and what beers they had in the 50s for yr lables
The FO3 texture looked worse than what I did because the texture size is so small and it was only a small portion of the whole thing. This is a mod resource so If someone wants to change all the labels they can. The sodas are 256x512, vodka 512x256 and everything else is 512x512 for the labels. The reason I went with the more plain labels is to make them allot more noticeable compared to the rest and this isn't exactly a realism mod.
I did notice there is a UVW problem with the soda label so I may fix that.
they do look good i just used one yr liquids for a washing up liquid that needs a texture and i had use a neon befor but yrs looks good just trying to make it glow like the quantums do lol
Easy to make them glow if the parts are separate. Just delete the NiMaterialProperty and BSShaderPPLightingProperty from the part you want to glow and copy them from one of my bottles like scotchbottle04G.nif. Set your 2 textures back to what you had and make a glow map for the third texture. The glow map needs an alpha channel that's black or white but no grey for some reason it buggers it up. Dark textures like the beer bottles do not glow good so you will probably want the texture to be on the lighter color side and glow maps do not like dark colors either. The quantum uses a more complicated glow system that does exactly the same thing but they did more rough textures to make it look old.
If the parts are not separate the glow map gets more fun, you need to make the alpha channel have black for all the parts you don't want to glow and white for where you do want but that's not hard to do.

FNV version is up, link in the description.
These are gonna look great in my Megaton house kitchen.

Great idea, jet 4571!
I'll be back to endorse it!
