I REALLY LOVE this mod and it ALWAYS has a place in my load order every time I play FO3. It can also be merged with either Merge Plugins or the FO3 Merge Script by Mator The Eternal.
This mod also comes in handy if you use Lootable Rubble Piles - Which I really like because you can find an excess of Fission Batteries, Conductors, Garbage, Food items and Miscellaneous Items. It might bother some people with the amount you can find but it basically makes around 95% of the rubble piles in game lootable.
Right now I'm not seeing a need for it. UUFO3P seems to be okay in the "actually a bug fix and not just a bunch of objective I-swear-its-better changes and new content" department. I can see some areas that could be improved of course, but I'll be telling the authors that directly (and/or putting bug fixes up on Nexus). I'll only consider putting together a YUP for FO3 if the authors of UUFO3P go missing or turn out to be jerks, neither of which I'd really expect.
Unfortunately this mod is incompatible with Brisa Almodovar companion, one of the most popular companions in Fallout 3. Loaded before that mod, the changes have no effect, loaded after Brisa can't use the prewar books for teaching herself skill advancement anymore, if you have a look in FO3Edit with both mods loaded you will see what I mean.
I always assumed that 'right' books are ones from which something can be learned. The 'wrong' books are some kind of 'pulp fiction'. They have different inventory icons, as well, by the way.
Perhaps the better mod would be if scribe Yearling accepts skill books. When player reaches maximum skill those books don't work any more. Player may not be interested in some skill, as well. Melee player may not care for Unarmed books, for example, might prefer to take 100 caps instead. I don't care much for 'Big Guns, for instance, because they weight too much and response time is slow. Or player may collect too many stimpaks and Radaways and care less for Medicine. Science might be less important if player has good Lockpick.
There's no dialog anywhere saying that's the case. The only indication that they're fake is the part where she won't take them. Literally nothing else is said about them.

"The Art of War by Tsun Zu'? Nope. I'll give you 100 caps for your copy of The Encyclopedia of Farts, though."
However, when I had in my inventory blue books only, Yearling didn't accept them. Did anyone else have the same issue?
EDIT: Actually nevermind, I'm not sure why it's not working.
EDIT: Done. There's a special version available in the Optional Files section.
