Hello everybody! (If anybody still checks this mod) I honestly don't remember the last time I updated this mod so I am thinking about fixing some of these bugs and adding some more content. It may take awhile though, I have no ETA on when a new update will be coming. So patience is a virtue I guess.
Thank you for al the kind words and I'll be seeing you real soon with a new update!
Take care!
4/29/17 - I have a new update ready but unfortunately my PC is in need of repair, so when I get my PC back I will upload the new version!
To anyone who tried/will try to use this mod and keeps experiencing crashes every time they load a save, try to move the house robot to a central location within the house. I kept trying to load my save while the robot was stuck in the vanilla bedroom and it will not load no matter what I did. Then I tried using the console commands to move him to my location while I was in the 1st floor living room, saved the game, then tried loading it with the mod on, and finally it did not crashed.
TLDR: make sure house robot is not stuck when using the mod
When this mod is installed - companions cannot leave the Megaton (do not appear outside the gate). It looks like a problem with navmeshes. Removing navmeshes from the MegatonEntrace cell of this mod solves the problem.
Installed the mod just after I got the house, and my bed was in there just fine, and when I got the prewar theme, I ended up with 2 beds intersecting lmao will be easy enough to fix in the geck, but just thought I'd put it out there that that can happen.
So the mod takes out the bed until you buy a theme? That's stupid as hell, tbh. Makes you have to spend a thousand caps just to be able to rest in your own house. Pass.
Just started playing Fallout and this mod gives me an immediate CTD.
I'm only using a couple other mods so far, but I shut them all down so I was only using the Base Game, Expansions and the Unofficial Patch plus V5 of this mod and . . . immediate CTD.
Your mod is just what I was looking for, I'd really like to see it work, but I don't know what else to try.
UPDATE: Alright, figured out some more things to try! Got the mod working on my current game. Had to sacrifice some saves, but it was worth it!
Really love your design changes. And that liquor cabinet is insane!
I explored each theme and settled on the Explorer - just goes with my image for my character the best. (I like all the weapons and pork 'n beans lying around!) Two dirty ashtrays in the kitchen was excessive so I removed one, and I'm still reserving judgement on the electric palm tree artwork thingy.
Some issues that all the themes shared tho:
1. Why can't items be stored inside the computer desk anymore? 2. The bedroom door should open on the left and swing against the wall on the right. That's driving me nuts. 3. The UN-themed home has no bed or fridge. The house really shouldn't start with less storage and functionality than vanilla. 4. The UN-themed bathroom has a bathroom door sign but opens onto a completely empty room. For the pre-themed bathroom, either pull the sign or at least give us a toilet! Never false-advertise! 5. It's been mentioned by others, but I must bump the complaint - you really gotta fix that first aid kit!
This is a Must Have mod for me now! So glad I got it working! I have more suggestions for the other themes, but I'll spare you further torment! Thank You!
I like what you did. Especially with the bedroom. And the shrunken caravan is a nice feature (you can sleep on the matrass that's inside).
Personally, I would have added a different and cleaner looking table instead of that ugly weathered wooden pic-nic monstrosity (Wastelander theme) and I would have liked some more storage, like a medicine kit on the wall at the chem station and a toolkit near the work-bench. There's a mod that does this but I don't want to use it for fear of conflict. Plus, that mod adds lugagge trunks under the original bed which could clip or are unreachable with your double bed.
The bar is a bit of a hit & miss. I like the idea of the door, but that door's underside goes into the wall of the shack when opening the liquor cabinet, causing some flicker when both objects (door and wall) occupy the same space.
This may sound like a SUPER dumb question, but is the display case functional? If so, I can't seem to figure out how to use it? Activating it just opens and closes it and if I try to just drop something then put it in using the grab button, when I close it the weapon just launches onto the floor. Not a deal breaker by any means I'm just very confused.
