I have been looking for something like this. Kool. As far as people saying it is unrealistic. No it is very realistic. Would you allow a Cross with the depiction of Christ, Lie head down in the dirt? People have moved stone weighing thousands of pounds, hundreds of miles to construct statues and cathedrals to their Gods, why wouldn't the Church of Adam, get their god out of the dirt? Very Very, Imaginative. Very good mod.
still unrealistic lol. there is literally nothing in megaton suggesting they could have lifted 5 tons. Nothing above the bomb they could have used as a crane, no machines to lift things. It makes no sense literally.
mans literally jumped on a 3 year old comment I see wear u are coming from but the town was built using parts from an airport wear they dragged a whole front of a plane so its completely plausible that they could move the bomb however the thing is that bugs me the most is that its balanced on the pedestal however it looks cool so I will overlook it
Late to the party - replaying after many years - but this is cool. Sure, the real Fat Man weighed 5 tons, but if the people of Megaton could move large pieces of a crashed airplane, they could move a 5 ton bomb.
I agree totally.... Hated the fact that the bomb was just laying there and wanted to to something about it, what do you do when you want to warship something? you put it on a pedestal. In this case the fountain to contain the glow of the waters
i just tweeked yr mod in the geck lol i got steam coming out the bomb lol turned that little alter around to face the bomb and did a few little things around megaton like water leaks coming out the water building

Oh, yeah, there are robots around that could probably do it... If anyone in the town had enough caps to purchase enough to lift the thing (because one ain't going to cut it, and honey, robot's aren't cheap), or the skill to program those 'broken'/hostile ones (but then why not just disable the friggin' bomb in the first place?). None of the traders have robots, so I'm not sure where your comment about that came from.
Yes, you could make the argument that they might eventually manage to lift the damn thing, but what if they accidentally dropped it? Or what if it falls off of its new pedestal? Kaboom, no more Megaton (although I doubt that's how atomic bombs work, but then again, how do the settlers of Megaton know it's not? Better safe than sorry.)
Hmm. I seem to recall the sheriff guy mentioning that most of the townsfolk were unaware the bomb was still active. They probably didn't realize they risked blowing themselves up when they moved the bomb.
oh i didn't at first realize it was on display nvm but can you possibly make a version where it is crashed into it and not on display and everyone is surrounding the fountain worshiping it?
