Point Lookout will still have some LOD issues as this fix only addresses one of two LOD textures that Point Lookout uses. To fix Point Lookout completely, make a duplicate copy of the texture this mod installs and rename the copy to "treeswampLOD.dds".
Can this be used to fix LOD problems caused by deleting trees?
A common thing to do if a tree is in the way of your mod is to drag it underground. I'll use The Club House v1_3 found here (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/2722/?) as an example. The author deleted a tree next to the clubhouse, which in turn left the lod of the tree right next to the building. It's a good mod but having that blurry tree image just takes away from the mod.
Can this mod be used to re-install the tree, and then drag it down below the surface using the geck ? If so then this would be a life saver to new modelers whom did not know to not delete trees.
Either way this does look like a good mod. Thanks for sharing.
Mod makes dead tree LOD transparent, it will solve problem but at cost, trees in far distance use tree LOD only so far away will look barren, as camera get closer engine loads trees mesh. With my mod, tree LOD will be gone and trees only will be visible when camera is close enough for tree mesh to load. My mod is not really a fix but it is fix for me and I like using it.
