Paladin Greg Bear, or "Kodiak", is the largest and strongest member of the Brotherhood of Steel, and a "jack of all trades" of the Lyons Pride. He grew up in The Pitt, which may go some way to explain how he got to be so tough. You may have already met him hanging around the A-Ring, or fought along side him in the battle for project purity. After completing Broken Steel, he will now accompany you as a permanent companion.

True to his reputation, he is taller than most DC residents, and excels in close combat with his super sledge (with knock-down effect on crit), which he uses with one hand.

He is fully voiced and lip-synched and has all the features of vanilla companions, as well as guard/patrol options and the ability to use stealth-boys and heal himself with a stimpak on demand, as long as the player is carrying either item. Kodiak will return to the Citadel A-ring when fired. I have considered adding the ability to change his home location, but it somehow didn't seem very lore friendly with him being a member of the pride. If there are any requests for this feature I may be persuaded.

I would highly recommend the use of "Colossus BOS" with this mod, so much so that I made an alternate esp to alter Kodiak's armor to match. It does not contain the assets, just points to them, so the original mod is required, although not a master. Both versions require broken steel.
I also use Project Beauty, and as this mod will overwrite his appearance back to vanilla I have included instructions to change him back to the PB version.

Installation -

Add esp and sound folder to your data folder.


Updating -

Just overwrite the old version, should be no need for deleting or clean-saving.


Uninstallation -

Delete Follower Kodiak.esp and sound/voice/Follower Kodiak.esp from your data folder.


Update 1.1 -
Kodiak's original waiting set up seemed a little buggy, that is now fixed. You can now also ask him to use a stealth boy if you are carrying any.

Update 1.2 -
Kodiak now essential by default, to ensure he survives at project purity. Can still be turned off if required.
Replaced "wait" with a separate menu with the options of guard/patrol/relax.
Added ability to heal Kodiak with a stimpak, and added to a separate menu along with stealth boy use.
Did some general tweaks and cleanups to tighten up dialogue.
Added a line to Kodiak's script to remove the vanilla laser rifle and armor which seem to magically appear in his inventory.
Copied the supersledge mesh to the 1HandMelee folder to work better with animations.

Update 1.3 -
Fixed a problem caused by the new waiting options. Version 1.2 was causing vanilla followers to have no wait command.
Minor fix - forgot to include renamed voice/lip files for original 1.3, have now updated main files and also made an update file.
