Early 2023 review: Nice refreshment for an eye if you're going on another long playthrough and just want something new on your loading screen. Also, I agree with author, and use opuwonee really didn't understand how loading screen's replacer works. It's minimal changes that in any situation can't break your game or cause CtD, it's just impossible and potential players don't neeed to fear that they encounter problems using this mod replacer. Should you try this mod in 2023? Yes, especially if your goal to give Fallout 3 global overhaul from main menu to every aspect, this new loading screens will be a good addition to you load out of plugins. I'm sorry you're having a problem. In a nutshell, it's a simple texture replacer. Nothing more nothing less.
I have also included an option with the Bethesda ratio (much lower resolution). Please give that a try. If that doesn't work either then it's highly unlikely the issue you're having is related to my mod. Good luck!
Hi, i LOVE that mod but i only got the first image you show (the one with the girl, surrounded by grass and a sun in the background) and even if i wait for 5 min (counted it) it won't change even if i load a save file or anything and even when i restart the game. Always this loadscreen, everywhere. Does someone know what to do? I already reinstalled it
I like this mod but it adds a significant loading time to my game. I want to say it normally load in about 2 seconds tops but this seems like it doubles it to a 4 second load time. :P
Thanks ahead of time for this and the FNV version of this mod!!
So what about this blank white screen? It's blinding. I looked in the fallout.ini and online but I can't find any reference to how to change the color to black or something.
you know what I mean? the blank white screen, over which the images of this mod are projected? anyone have an Idea how to get rid of it?
maybe there's a line we can add to the [Loading] section in the fallout.ini, but I may just be a big idiot with hypersensitive eyeballs.
I'm glad you like the mod. Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to change the default background color. It might be hardcoded.
There's a file in: data\textures\interface\loading\loading_background.dds
...however, despite its name, it's actually the foreground overlay. In the vanilla version, that's the vertical and horizontal lines simulating an old display.
You have the option of removing the loading_background.dds. If that is done, the game will go back to using the default file, which will make the images (including the background) significantly darker. You won't have the white screen anymore but all slides will look worse, in my opinion. Nevertheless, give it a try. Optionally, you can try creating your own overlay that is not as dark as vanilla.
If anybody knows of a way to change the default white background color then please let me know in the comments. Thanks!

I didn't have any loading screens but always the load menu screen.
What is wrong ?

For anyone who's curious...
Good mod, good pictures, extended loading time.
