After testing this and other auto aim fixes, I came to realize that I get more hits both with scoped and with iron sight weapons not using any auto aim fix. Usually one-shot kills if I'm hidden. I don't know if Bethesda fixed the problem in a patch or something. It IS harder to get hits at extreme ranges but that seems natural. I don't know if all the fuss with auto aim is from people that only want to kill everything at extreme range. At long and medium ranges it feels fine. By long I mean like the distance between the bus and the fence in Super Duper Mart's parking lot. Maybe others won't consider that really long, well.
hey. im trying to play with gamepad and its nearly unplayable because you still have to be pretty precise with the auto aim. any way to increase the radius?, i seem to remember doing it once by adjust the settings with the geck but it kept reseting.
long story short if you could help me increase the radius of the auto aim detector so it plays more like doom it would be heavily appreciated
Bethesda is stupid and are useless in making FPS with bullet ballistics. I dont care if they did it for those console kids with gamepads that are like disabled people. There is no excuse for making such stupid thing as auto MAGIC aim. Bethesda bullets are not MISSILES ! Please go and educate yourselves about bullet ballistics or just watch how stalker games have it done then you may continue to making games with firearms.
Two thumbs up. After reading the explanation I'm convinced that the auto-aim feature is actually beneficial and necessary, only the distance has been the problem. No more.
It's about time someone made a proper mod to deal with autoaiming. Never did bother with any of the other autoaim fixing mods since they sounded so flawed. Especially when one even explained that autoaim exists to correct the weapon alignment issue. Therefore by removing it your essentially making it worse.
This problem doesn't only happen at long distances outside of auto aim range. I often encounter this same problem when at short distances too. (eg. targets in the same room)
I'd aiming at a targets head through the scope, and I would hit his knee ">
So far as I can tell, auto aim also seems to have problems distinguishing targets apart when they are bunched up in the line of sight. This means that the targets don't even have to be at the same distance from the player for this problem to occur, so long as they are in close proximity to each other on the screen (ie. one behind the other on the screen)
Frankly I'm not sure how to solve this problem, with mods or otherwise.
I have not tried your mod yet, perhaps I'll try it first. But from your description of what it does, I'm not sure I would fix the problem I'm having.
Hey, I just wanted to ask how you get accuracy tweaks to work with this mod. Seems like a really good way to play the game. Sorry, I dont know anything about modding short of installing them. Thanks

But, I'm sad to report it doesn't seem to work anymore with the 1.1 patch. Not sure what all the Devs changed but VATS isn't the same either.
