To anyone using this mod in modern times with Vortex, here's how to fix the issue of the eyes looking like they have cataracts.
Through Vortex, choose Open Mod Staging Folder. Then navigate Lost In Light - An Eye Improvement Mod\textures\effects. Delete EyeReflection_e.dds. (The folder should now be empty as that is the only file.)
Then choose Open Game Folder. Navigate Data\textures\effects. Delete EyeReflection_e.dds.
It's the exact same file, and both instances have to be removed or the problem will persist. Also you can of course navigate to the files manually rather than using Vortex's shortcuts.
Delete Fallout 3\Data\textures\effects\EyeReflection_e.dds. it will make eyes use original eye reflection map which is imho still too darn bright but less bright then the included texture. Perhaps with ENB this mod looks different, but I don't use ENB and removing the aforementioned texture works satisfactorily for me.
I don't know how to install this. Nexus doesn't work, and only old FOMM works for me, and it doesn't show up. Can someone tell me how to manualy install this?
Hi, I hope you can help.. I know I've messed something up but I dunno how to really fix it.
So, originally I had these eyes installed cause I liked them. I had also downloaded the BS Mini eye pack to use for my own character, then decided I didn't like those, and I uninstalled that. Well, now everyone's eyes look like static TVs. I removed the files for this mod so it reverted back to default stock eyes, and that works fine. So I saved my game with the regular eyes, reinstalled this with NMM and made sure that the textures and meshes were back in their places, but sadly people's eyes still look like static TVs. I know I goobered something up, but I'm hoping it can be fixed so I can use these again. Thanks for any help!
It sounds like you might have installed the BS Mini pack manually the first time and some files got left behind. Either that or perhaps you only disabled the mod in NMM and the files are still in your data folder? The slow way would be to re-download that mod, open it and see if any of the files it uses are still in your F3/data folder -- especially meshes/textures -- and remove them.
Sometimes it's actually faster to reinstall Fallout3 and all of your mods than to try to fix it though. Especially if you're using NMM. To help make reinstalling easier I always keep backups of the mods I use, my most recent save files, and always use a mod manager. Goo luck.
How do I uninstall this? The eyes are creeping me out, they're super reflective and the pupils are off somehow. I tried deleting all the files that were in the download, but nothing changed.
