It worked for me from the beginning of the game until I reached level 23. I have a habit of saving whenever I hear the level up sound in case I change my mind, such as forgetting to level up explosives because I need it for a certain thing. Well anyway, at level 23 it gave me the first screen and then after completing my second choice the screen froze. After a few reboots and retries I removed the mod and continued without any problem. When I reached level 24 I turned it back on to see what would happen and it froze again. I turned it off and continued without any problem.
My verdict: Great mod. I didn't get all 30 but 22 additional perks is more than I would have had otherwise. Looking at that number I wonder if it has to do with the original 20 limit. I may not have installed it at level 1, it may have been level 2 or 3. I never used the Here And Now perk either.
It seems to be broken at level 22 in general. I didn't install this mod until I was level 17 or so. As soon as I hit 22, the mod freezes the game consistently after choosing the second perk. Best workaround is to enable the mod from level 1 and play it until you finish 22, about to go into 22 and then just disable the mod. Should keep all the perks. Was wondering if this just has to do with it not working right with other mods, but I really don't feel like disabling and enabling mods one at a time to find the one causing the issue. It also might work again after getting past 22, but I'll have to test it out. Edit: I have just tested it out, doesn't matter what level you are past 22, the mod just doesn't work anymore. So, it looks like 1-21 is safe to use and then just disable it. You do keep the free perks, I wouldn't try upgrading any of the new rank based perks from this mod past the initial stages though (rank 1), but it looks like any that were at rank 1 kept their benefits once you disable the mod. Haven't upgraded any of them past 1, so I don't know if they would keep their ranks/benefits once you disable the mod, but I highly doubt it since it gets rid of the coding that make that perk work past rank 1.
Must have. This doesn't mess with how the game dishes out xp or anything. It only does what it says, and has been working great. I'll update this should I run into some issue, but so far, so good.
Same - just updating as of 1/1/2023 - Mod works great and as intended (I'm at level 16 now).
You DO need to go through the normal 'level up' screen, pick your points, etc. as normal. Once you exit that, give it a few moments and it pops back up again as if you leveled up - but you can't add anymore to the regular stats. Go on to the next screen and you will get your 2nd Perk Point to spend there and assign as normal. Bam. Works.
I only ran into one issue, which was my mistake if I had sat and thought about it first. IF you take the perk that gives you the 'bonus level up' immediately, do it on your SECOND POINT PERK PICK. I did mine on my first perk point (the normal one) and, unfortunately, probably due to the way the 2nd Perk Point bounces back to the level up screen immediately after closing - it apparently seemed to bug out the 'bonus level up' and I NEVER got to spend any extra points as if I'd actually leveled up. Oh well, one point and one perk lost. But I have a feeling if you used your 2nd point to pick this, it would probably 'level up' like normal without the extra screen to interrupt the process. :/
That's an unfortunate outcome. I can see other people doing it too. But like you said, you can just shrug it off and keep playing. I like this one a lot.
Works fine for me. Even though the second level up screen says current level +1, when you finish choosing the second perk, the game files and your status screen show you at current level, not +1.
FYI: the mod "technically" brings you up two levels, but will soon after bring you back down a level. So it may look like you level twice, but you actually just level up once.

So basically it might corrupt your saves best way would be to not use it at all or only at the beginning then uninstall. Very sad
