If someone is interested, you can place clutter folders (from "texture" and "meshes" folders of this mod, without .esp) into Fallout New Vegas Data\meshes and data\texture and you will have working replacer of these Nuka-trucks in Fallout New Vegas) UPD: This trick worked also for another Ranx31 mod-replacer of those blue toy sport cars)
This mod (and the other two) appeals to me so much, the more things to collect the more fun I get out of the game. Ended up building an entire room to eventually store my collection of Pre-War treasures and have a shelf set aside for these. Amazing work
Sorry to hear about the troubles! As you are the first to report this type of problem, I'm guessing it is something with your setup or system. Why an object would turn invisible is a mystery to me and am at a loss for a quick solution. About the only thing I can think of right off is to change the NewToys.esp file's load order and see if that clears things up. Perhaps you could check the Nexus forums for similar problems and solutions?
As for the texture and mesh paths, I'm pretty sure I had the correct folder setup and it should be unnecessary for you to copy stuff to other locations. The reason why the 'questitems' folder is used is because I replace the game's default Nuka Cola truck with my version and the game considers it a quest item of a sort and so that's where it needs to go for the switch to work.
thanks. yep ... odd indeed. probably with videocard switch would be fixed?? (one card per game then ... hehheh heh ... )
Do you mind if I place your models in my museum? I am working on a hide-out, twice the size ofr Big-Town, and it is placed in its own world. How far I will go with my project I do not know yet, but time will eventually show.
"Do you mind if I place your models in my museum?" No, I don't mind. If you get around to releasing your project, just make sure to give me credit. Good luck!
Thanks for the comment! Did you mean textures or mods though? If you meant mods then I have considered doing that at some point but until recently, didn't have enough to warrant a single collection of them. And there's the added consideration of what would happen to those people who've already got my vehicles on display, DL the new collection and would have to find them all over again... But I will look into it, just not sure how soon though.
something odd is happening. Not a surprise for me, after dealing for years with this game and Skyrim heh heh heh ...
so ... when I found the toys they're ok, they look ok right after dropping them somewhere, but ... after pressing z key to move/relocate the trucks and dropping them again ... they turn invisible.
I can "see" the invisible trucks position and pick them again through E key, but they turn invisible a minute or 2 after dropped from my inventory.
everything else seems ok & loved where u placed the units for collecting btw
so? wth is going on?
P.S. I installed the NewToys V1-1-18588-V1-1 pack and they look invisible, after that I copied textures from ... \Data\Textures\clutter\questitems to \Data\Textures\RNX\Toys AND also copied just in case meshes from \Data\meshes\clutter\questitems to \Data\meshes\RNX\Toys ... still turning invisible.

Me again! Today I was thinking the kitchen/cleaning area of my home was missing a certain je ne sais quoi, and after thinking for a while, I knew - an Abraxo Cleaner truck! So I fired up Paint.net (the poor man's photoshop) and put one together. Here's a picture http://i40.tinypic.com/i20fba.jpg What do you think? I personally think it looks rather nice! I put two of them around the world and it will be fun to look for them. Don't worry, I won't be sharing this one since it's basically your work, I just made the texture
I adore this idea. I love collecting toys! Would love to see maybe something space themed, like a little rocket Thank you, I'll be happy to go hunting for these little treasures
If you like the trucks, you might also enjoy my other mod which replaces the toy car and adds 4 more unique ones. You can find it at the following link: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/18734
As for a little rocket, I had already planned something along those lines after the release of my toy cars but took a break from Fallout 3 for other things (life, other software, etc.). Now that the itch is back you might just get your wish ! So keep your eyes open...
And please don't forget to endorse mods that you enjoy!
Thasic: It was no trouble, you're welcome! With the update, you won't have to futz around with any tools to get things working right. And thanks for the encouragement, I'm already at work on another related project - so keep your eyes peeled...
Now if only a few more of the people who DLed this mod would endorse it, I'd be even more ambitious <hint> <hint>. At least, the ones who've already done so were enough to get me on the 'Hot Files' list. That alone is a great boost!
Thanks for the update. I assumed it was something like that but I'm not capable enough with the Geck or FO3Edit to really figure out anything. Fortunately I am capable enough to make the corrections you describe...barely. Thanks again and I hope to see more of your work in the future.
