To everyone considering installing this graphics mod, beware! This is incredibly outdated, built up over years, but years ago, and when it worked, it was always a hassle to begin with. It was an ENB mod that I used for my personal screenshotting addiction, and it was really never built to look pleasing everywhere. By now, so many ENB iterations and time later, having gone unsupported for the larger part of a decade, it must be viewed as deprecated.

However, I will not remove it, because people have managed to make it work, even on Windows 10, with newer binaries. I haven't played Fallout 3 for ages. I'll probably dip a toe back in at some point, but graphically modding the game to the point at which I had it is going to be a challenge for which I doubt I'll invest the time needed. But who knows.

To anyone who was frustrated by either my lack of support, or the horrible instructions, my apologies. To anyone bold enough to try to get this running regardless, good luck!

People! It's hard to make sure you get EVERYTHING right when installing this puppy. A compounding factor is that it sometimes will work right out of the box for some people, whereas others will run into more difficulty. If you use my setup based on the .118 binary, you'll have more trouble if you're on ATI. If you use one of my WIP builds based around later binaries (.150 and up) you'll have an easier time as an ATI user. Some people can get it to work with Win8, some will have problems. Installing DirectX anew could help you out. If not, the injector version can be a last resort. But by all means: everyone should first make sure that both IN-GAME and graphics driver-based anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering are disabled, and to make sure that when they've installed the ENB they have run the game launcher once (no need to start the game) to set water displacement to disabled, and to activate HDR. Before doing that, remove the rendererinfo.txt. Also make sure to install Omegared99's ENB First Person Transparency Fix and DO follow the install instructions on that page. (NOTE: Omegared99's transparancy fix has become deprecated as of binary .190, so only use it if you use an earlier binary.)

My WIP builds can be found in my Google Drive folder. These are all unsupported, but I wouldn't mind hearing if you liked any of those, and maybe why. The correct d3d9 file is always included. If you need the injector version download it yourself from enbdev.com.

Still works great and looks as good as or better than Dynamo ENB for New Vegas.  Using this with NMC's Maximum Texture Pack makes a game released in 2008 look amazing.  Also got it running at 144Hz thanks to setting iFPSClamp=144 in FSR and adding fMaxTime=0.0069 to the Fallout.ini under [Havok].  No more combat slowdowns or physics issues.  Runs smooth as glass!

If you are getting an Application Error, Crash, or Can't Even Start The Game, right click whichever .EXE you are running the game with (FOSE_Loader.exe or Fallout.exe) and go to Properties, then to Compatibility Settings, and uncheck "Run In Compatibility Mode" for whatever service pack you had on.

Make sure you downloaded the latest ENB Series From Here (Current Version .451) and move ONLY the "d3d9.dll" in the Wrapper Version Folder to your Fallout 3 Steam Folder. You'll need an ENB Series for almost every enb on the nexus. This one being for Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas specifically. Once this is done install Midhrastic ENB on this Mod Page like any other mod (mod manager or manually).

Next, make sure HDR is enabled, and disable AntiAliasing, Antiosopic, and Water Displacement (You can do this by running Fallout through Steam and going to advanced options on the Launcher Window). Booting the game should give you confirmation that everything is working by some words in the top left of your screen.

Big thanks to Ianc4ever, Username501332, and others below.
