https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/24138/ should make it so you don't have to change the pipboy color to white anymore

For those who are obsessed with green and don't want to switch PipBoy light to white, there is a mod I found that perfectly solved this problem.
    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21501
Install and load it AFTER this mod, it automatically turns PipBoy Map to white without affecting any other PipBoy interfaces. Of course it overrides this mod's icons, but you get to keep green light on. Personally I recommend installing Non Transparent, because transparent ones contain some icons still hard to see.

Does this mod scale with the game's video performance settings? I'm playing with low settings and the map is kind of blur, and hard to see the details. (sorry for my bad english)

Superb mod, but: i can't barely see some cities, i think that's because i'm color-blind, lol. They must have a special type of green, i don't notice (i struggle with red and green tones).

since this is an old post and this might help others. in the description it says "USE WITH WHITE PIPBOY LIGHT". Go to your settings and display in the man menu, with the pipboy change from green to white, and the map will be fine. Most people, myself included, gloss over this small info tidbit. Don't use green on your pipboy some icons won't show up. You MUST use white.

Go to Documents\My Games\Fallout3\ and open the FALLOUT3.ini with Notepad or similar; search for bInvalidateOlderFiles= and change the value from 0 to 1.

Ignore the Archive Invalidated text...use the archive invalidation tool in your mod manager instead.

That's weird. This mod worked fine with my Pip Boy 2500. But with the default Pip Boy, I still get a green map. Maybe I need to do the old-fashion archive txt thing instead of setting the flag bit in NMM.

      ADDED:
Mevermind. Forgot about the white Pip Boy setting.
