Seems pretty interesting, personally I prefer the realism of not having blood fly out of the entrance wound. If you could do one where it would include exit wounds that would have this effect with large caliber rounds (such as a .308 and such) then I'd be all over that, myself.
i like this, hey since your knowledgeable on porting mods can you please port {Manual Reload} mod from NV to FO3 from LoremIpsum? if hes ok with that. i loved that mod in New Vegas.
Works perfectly ... I frequently snipe beyond vats detection range (~10000). This setting @20480 allows me to see fall of shot and adjust aimpoint to compensate, regardless of which rifle I'm using ... excellent. Endorsed
Haven't checked back on this mod for a while, my copy of FO3 broke somehow, and I just got around to reinstalling it. I haven't gotten around to testing it either, as I was playing through the story when it "broke." Anyway, it should be back up and running, and I'll be further going through the game to see if anything happened. Thanks for letting me know what you did in general.
By the way, @everybody, thanks for all the downloads and endorsements! I never expected one of my files being a top file before. I might be able to port other mods from NV if enough people want me to.
Pic is up - uploaded three times for some reason - apologies!
No idea which strings control it though - best guess is probably the land detail quality.
I do remember changing the settings and not thinking it worked - I was in the nuka cola factory at the time. After a couple of cell changes i noticed distant decals.
Edit:
Some more up - you can notice the sparks coming from the wall in the second pic - bullet holes are on Moriarity's salon. Headshot outside old ladies home (looks like a bus - can't remember name) - notice the blood splatter on the wall, and the body hasn't hit the ground yet.
Images should be open to users, and it'd be great to let us know which strings control the distance of visible bullet impact decals.
EDIT:
I found one string in the .ini called "fDecalLOD0=" and I increased it to 50000. There are many other LOD and Decal strings, and increasing them may possibly increase the distance at which bullet impact decals will show. There is also "fDecalLifetime=" which will indicate the amount of time the decal stays (unless reloading the cell). "uDecalCountInterior=" and "uDecalCount=" are self-explanatory. Feel free to test them out, I'll be reporting back as soon as I find out if they are increased.
Been experimenting with the Fallout.ini & FalloutPrefs.ini settings.
Found that by increasing the LOD settings, you can control how far away decals appear (bullet holes, blood splatter etc.
Not sure which one controls decals, because I just increased them all by x10. Now I've got decals appearing pretty much as far as I can see ( though sometimes I gotta get closer to actually see them - but it's still way further than it used to be. I'll see if I can post some pics.

And thanks again for this mod its really cool.
Cheers
Load order shouldn't matter. I can't think of any other mods that edit the game setting in this mod.
