    1 Problem, which is that my character's hair disappears when in use. Please do fix that part. Also it seems to turn itself on when you get it, can't seem to turn it off so it won't cloak me when I don't want that.

      I cannot fix the hair problem.Some hairstyles disappear, others don't. The mod does not touch hair at all.

      The cloaking turns off automatically when you stand up and turns on when you crouch -- just like the Chinese stealth suit.

    Thanks for the suggestion and for clearing up the reason for the problem that @THUMBSTUCK is having.
    I haven't got Fallout 3 installed right now, but will undoubtedly return to it in the future. Will think about enhancing several of my mods then.

    Thank you for your kind words and endorsement.
    I have no plans to upgrade this mod. I understand your reasoning, but as someone seems only to have been able to solve a problem by removing and re-equipping this accessory, I don't think I'll make it a quest item. What "added features" did you have in mind?

    I have no idea what causes such a problem as the mod alters nothing pertaining to that aspect of the game.

      Hmm, if that is the case, I totally agree with you that it shouldn't be made into a undroppable quest item.

      I was thinking in terms of energy cell consumption similar to the feature implemented in FWE. From a SciFi perspective, generating a stealth field would require a "more than usual" level of power. Our pipboy being a "Personal Information Processor" device would be manufactured with power cell with a long enough shelf life for all our character's needs though their long/short lifetime, but added components such as a stealth field oscillator would put an enormous drain on that power cell, so it makes a certain level of sense that it would require and consume an external power source; such as energy cells, microfusion cells, etc for a preset duration of usage.

      If implemented, we can of course choose to customize whether it drains 1 cell for every 60, 120, 180, etc seconds of stealth field generation etc, or turn off this feature for unlimited usage without power cells. Just a thought.



      I think THUMBSTUCK is referring to our character hair textures/meshes when in stealthed mode. It basically makes both a male and female character "appear bald" if not wearing any headwear after entering stealth mode from either stealthboys, Chinese Stealth Suit/Armor, or the SFO. I'm not sure if that is something that can be fixed, as none of the other stealth related mods or vanilla ones have been able to rectify. I usually just put on a hat and pretend it works as it should.

    I'd taken the liberty to set the mod item as a "quest item" so that it can't be removed from the inventory. My rationale for this is that it is a component that upgrades and intergrades into our pipboy, therefore if our pipboy isn't or can't be removed during the course of the game, the stealth field oscillator which plugs into the pipboy shouldn't either.

    If you accept this line of reasoning, perhaps a minor change can be made if you ever release another version of this mod, and with a FOSE enabled hotkey option and more quest components for added features if it plays into fallout lore.

    This Mod works great!

    Having always played FO3 with FWE installed, I'd really missed having the stealth field automatically enabled whenever my character crouched and disabled when I revert back to standing upright. Sure, we could always configure hotkeys to have the effect enabled in FWE, but this Mod makes it works like how the CSA/S was originally meant to - and yet wear whatever armor/clothes my character theme has.

    Blast Back hairstyle disappears from character model when stealth field is activated. Unsure if this affects other hairstyles.

    I come with rain for the parade... I have loved this item, but I found a compatibility bug...

    If you are using Children of the wasteland, the mod doesn't work...........might try uninstalling it and re-installing it...

    Sigh, never mind, after I stuck the item in a box and then took it back out it worked fine...weird..
