Another minor update: I've upped the damage-over-time, so it's about 50-50 between up front damage and DOT. Also increased the crit DOT, because basically there was no bonus DOT for a crit.
Note that ONLY the DOT effect has been increased. The up-front damage is unchanged. Since I don't suspect many people were waiting around for the full DOT of their shots to happen over 5 seconds, probably the lethality increase in 1.03 will be fairly modest. It's not turning it into some endgame uber-weapon. Still it might give your elf a little extra edge when charged by a few mutants :p
And another update, probably the last one for now. The biggest change are the sounds and icon. It actually sounds like a flame weapon now. All things considered, I'm pretty satisfied with the immersion right now.
And the update is up. The biggest news is that I've added it to the Pyromaniac perk, so if you took that, you can have twice the fun setting people horribly on fire. Well, 1.5 times the fun, anyway
Wow.. Truly amazing mod.. Seriously, you have a gift! I don't understand how this doesn't have 5000 downloads already. I will endorse when I'm allowed (need to wait an hour). The wand isn't at all overpowered or bad in any way.

Well, just as long as it doesn't have rooms full of gas. I just used the fire wand in the broken part of Rivet City and, well, I wasn't just hoist by my own petard, I was hoist up a flight of stairs and onto the next floor :p
