About this mod

I created this mesh soon after I bought my gun, but I recently decided to put it in Fallout 3. This was more of a personal project, but I share it with all of you now. This has increased damage over the 10mm pistols.

NOTE: There is an extra dirty version of this gun here: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/17690

Final update: There were no functional issues with the guns, but I found a way to make the sights line up, so I've added new versions of the guns that have aligned sights and some other small tweaks.

Okay...REALLY final UPDATE...Maybe: So, I found some texture issues with the mesh that I never noticed before, but once I noticed, I couldn't stand them. Also, my package seemed to be causing some crashes, at least for me. So I replaced the mesh for the slide with a new one and tweaked the textures for it. If you have the original of either of the v1 Taurus packages, just extract this one and copy the files to your data folder, replace any files that you are asked to replace, and you should be good to go. This should not erase the guns that you have in your inventory, as the name are the same in the file as they were in version 1. But, if it does, just find the container outside your megaton home and add the guns in it to your inventory again. Let me know if you have any issues, and DON"T FORGET to give me your endorsement or at least say thanks.

Final Update: I believe I have fixed (with Werne's help) the errors that were reported to me. PLEASE report any more bugs you find. I have also fix an over abundance of ammo issue with wall safes. It was giving you like 3000 ammo! LOL

UPDATE 2: IMPORTANT!!! If you have the Apocolypse Armory Mod installed, you can use the 9mm ammo that is included in that mod by downloading my second file. Details are in the description. Also, fixed a problem with the dealer in Rivet City.

UPDATE: I have fixed some issues that may lead to problems with the in game textures. If you were having this issue, please download the new file. I am working on some other things, but feel free to post feedback on anything you are having trouble with. A big shout out here to Werne, who is graciously assisting me with making this a better, cleaner mod and for modifying this package to use the AA mod 9mm ammo. Thanks so much, SIR!

Hello. Thanks for checking out my first original mod. I worked REALLY hard on this item, so I hope you find it enjoyable.

This mod adds three versions of my own personal home defence weapon, the PT 92 AF Taurus 9mm hand gun. It also adds a new ammo, 9mm, to the game for the guns. I really didn't make this weapon as much for others to use as I made it for myself. I will not be doing any additional modifications to this package except correcting issues with it, but I will welcome any mods that someone asks my permision to create.

-This is my own creation. The mesh and texture were created by me and do not use any other material. You do not have my permision to use this mesh or texture unless you
have contacted me and asked my permission to use them.

-Custom sounds were used for the gun fire. These were aquired from FreeSound.com

-Silenced 9mm shot - http://www.freesound.org/people/warriorsfan12331/sounds/115296/

If you experience any difficulties using this mod, please contact me so that I can correct any issues with it.

Requirements:

For my base file, you only need the FOMM and a zip extraction program.
To use the 9mm ammo included in the Apocolypse Armory Mod, you will need the second of my downloads + the Apocolypse Armory Mod.

To Install:

1. unzip to the fallout directory (NOT the data directory)
2. Overwrite any files that you are asked if you want to overwrite them.
3. Use FOMM to load the file into the game.

Location:

You will find a drop box in megaton outside of the player home. If you blew up Megaton, you will have to buy this item at a dealer. You will also find that there is 9mm ammo scattered about the waistland in different default containers. There are over 300 containers where you will find ammo, which sounds like a lot, but it will still be an infrequent find. The dealers that sell my weapon and ammo for it are:

Flak 'N Shrapnel's
Moira Brown

Other Notes:

You should be able to use any 10mm pistol or another 9mm pistol to repair the 9mm you are using.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The poly count on this weapon is higher than average at around 4000. If you are using a slower computer, this mod may cause some slowdown.

Thanks:

Thank you to the crew behind G.E.C.K., a reasonably easy to use tool with unlimmited potential.

Thanks to the Fallout crew.

Thanks to anyone who downloads this.

A big shout out here to Werne, who is graciously assisting me with making this a better, cleaner mod and for modifying this package to use the AA mod 9mm ammo. Thanks so much, SIR!

Enjoy!
