I can see where you're getting the name from however it is indeed a real sword called a Khopesh, the sword was designed with a curved blade to "hook" a opponents weapon allowing for an attack. I believe (although don't quote me on this) its Egyptian, like Ancient Egyptian.

This blade looks like (even though it's almost an exact-looking replica) the one that Ardeth Bay used in "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns" movies.

Pretty much, that sword's shape was the base for this blade. I only saw a quick shot of it in The Mummy and I liked it, it's a good looking blade.

And looking at this sword now... wow... I really sucked at making textures.
  3. They found the curved swords from Hammerfell... The Curved... Swords...

"Have you seen those warriors from Hammerfell? Curved swords... CURVED SWORDS!"

That's what I thought when I looked at the name.

It gives me great pleasure to see someone making ancient, classical, and medieval sword mods here in fallout3nexus. Keep up the good work, Werne!

@whoden Khopesh is very similar, the difference is in the curve, mine has a soft, smooth curve while khopesh has a sharp one. Hmm, you just gave me an idea for a Skyrim weapon (cause I really need to make something for Skyrim), thanks.

If I had to classify this as a real weapon, I'd consider it a kopesh, which is an Egyptian sword.
