Bethesda should've implemented something like this. If you have a squad, you'd want to have remote communication capability and without it, FO3 is like Doom 3 (colonization of Mars without the ability to attach a flashlight on a rifle).

I endorse this mod, a 10 in my book. It does what it says to can do. I would like to add a few other Companions to it. Its still a must have mod. Thank you!
This saved my whole teams life. Having to speak to them to do the smallest of things was getting irritating and to be honest I contemplated not reloading after a Behemoth took them out at one point. It also saves time where I don't have to track them down after I tell them to wait. I am having some trouble getting the image to load in my pip boy. It just says "pipOS error" in it's place. All in all, I have to say I'm disappointed that Bethesda didn't include something like this to begin with. They seemed to not have wanted people to rely partners at all.
