due to my extensive testing, i have learned that only double digits are allowed. seems to be hardwired in the game. from 99 to 100 you will have to do the ~ adv.level to get there without crashing, so you can set it to 99 with no problem but 100 will give CTD if you level up in-game normally. 100 looks better but 99 works better.
@DaWrecka Ok, I tested it and it looks like you're right. But there is one thing: I created a new Perk for lvl 35, one time with Broken Steel and one time without it as Parent. Now, when I use the mod without Broken Steel as parent, it does not work. Only when I disable BS.
Err no, so long as your new ESP is placed later in the load order than Broken Steel, then Broken Steel's value is overridden. Granted, making BS a master is a way to force that, but it's still not necessary.
If the order is:
Fallout3.esm Level100.esp BrokenSteel.esm
Then sure, the Broken Steel value of 30 takes precedence. But if it's:
Fallout3.esm BrokenSteel.esm Level100.esp
Then the Level100 value takes precedence, whether it has BS as a master or not.
@DaWrecka Dude, if I just make the Fallout3.esm as parent, it get's overwritten by the iMaxLevel of Broken Steel. However, for everybody who does NOT have Broken Steel I uploaded a version that does not require it.
Just a headsup; You didn't need to make Broken Steel a master of this ESP; If you copy a GMST record as new in FO3Edit, it's not dependent on the source mod but still has an effect. Hell, you could've opened Fallout.esm in GECK and used the Settings menu there to alter the max level, and it'd still take.
@humannature66 Hmm, I did not found anything when searching for a mod like that. Kinda was wondering why nobody has already made this, but looks like I just searched for the wrong keywords "> However, I also may try adding some new Perks'n stuff for the mod the next days.
nice idea, tho it already exists since 2008 ... http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=359 ... but good ideas are good ideas, no matter who had it first. kudos to you! greetz freddo
