Damn. This is such an old comment but here I am in the middle of 2019 and still having the same problem. What gives? It skips like the majority of the songs after song 20. It's bullsh*t.
you can fix audio stuttering by doing this not sure if fallout 3 has same setting in ini as new vegas but this is how to fix it in new vegas, i cant look becuase i have tale of two wastelands installed so i got f3 and nv joined together in new vegas engine, but will somone confirm that these settings are there in fallout 3 ini file open up fallout.ini where your saves are and change these under audio sub-group, make sure these match what mine say
[Audio]
bEnableAudioCache=1 bMultiThreadAudio=1 ; cache sizes in kilobytes iAudioCacheSize=4096 iRadioUpdateInterval=1024
Perhaps it is just me, but your step 2 installation description sounds backwards. Shouldn't your GECK file be replacing the original and not the other way around?
