Well, not sure if this mod is still alive or its community, but The Green Wastes is hidden by the Author for some reason? I really loved that mod but I lost my copy :-(

Does anyone have a spare? I'd be eternally grateful

well... I take no credit for the textures in the images, I downloaded those from another mod. This is a mesh mod, a very simple one really. took me five minutes to make.

And what IS the Fallout world actually like? I'm pretty much sure that not 2 gamers share the same world. What with all these great mods free for all here on the Nexus, I would guess the only thing we have in common is that dreadful 140 limit -and maybe not even that. OK, never good at keeping my mouth shut :-) Not even playing FO3 at the moment! But downloading this, just in case. I always hated tall grass. Keeps the enemies out of sight from my snipers. But maybe a melee/unarmed would fare better :-)

Could you make a slightly tall version? Maybe chest or stomach deep grass? I find the others too tall and the short too short lol Option B wasnt it too. Or tell me how I can edit the grass.

    KitchenSinkMan09,

Actually, the descriptions of the game always say that the Fallout world is an alternate reality that pretty much stayed in the 1950's era of social development. The physics we know are not the physics Fallout earth knows. For instance, no nuclear weapon would leave so little destruction as the ones used in Fallout. Take Hiroshima, the warheads dropped back then were extremely small compared to today's warheads. As a matter of fact they were about as small a yield as is possible and still achieve an explosive fission reaction. Even with that being the case, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were completely destroy. No one and nothing left alive at the blast point. About a five mile radius was devastated. Compare that to the bomb dropped on the Capitol in the Fallout world. Not even the mall was destroyed, well within a few hundred feet of the Capitol. As castellcorp stated, this is a game, designed for fun not realism.

Sigh, still waiting on someone to add more animal life that is not as threatening. MMM is great for harsh realism but were are the butterflies and snakes (etc.)? I do not believe that even nuclear war could wipe out so many types of critters. If I had any skill with textures then I would add them.

Lol, based in realism? I disagree, I never ate a hamburger that healed a gunshot wound. Nor was I given a injection that instantly healed my broken bones. And lets not get to deep into what world wide nuclear war would leave, lol. And you know not even Coke or Pepsi could get away with a soda that glow due to a rad part being added. Na Fallout (in my humble opinion) could never happen within the bounds of our current understanding of the laws of the natural sciences.
If Fallout was based in our world I do believe that there would be grass, and many more types of plant life. Not to mention much more human and animal life. The giant insects are right on tho, There is much evidence that such a thing as giant roaches not only could but would happen. Roaches, after all, only became so small as survival response. Your right, tho, it is fun.

I disagree about it being a different world. I mean yes its not real. But the game is based off of a realistic model. Our world =D

I think it is fun to discuss though all the same =)

Some people hate realism. Some can't get enough of it in their game. Such as myself. Although I think it would be debatable to why anyone not liking realism. Would find bethesda games appealing at all XD

    But I digress =D
