      Don't know if you still need this, but it's in the FalloutPerfs.ini file. I used CTRL + F to quickly search for it.

    to anyone who uses darnified ui like myself, this does work it just doesn't show past 100 when adding skill points but if you look when adding them they are still going down effectively doing the job of the mod enabling you to carry on levelling up and getting more perks. just add this after installing darnified and best to use a mod manger of some sort in case you mess up

      I'm still in the "testing all these ******g new mods to see if FO3 catches fire and dies" phase, but, so far, I've been getting DarNified UI to at least *appear* to play nicely by manually editing DarN's levelup_menu.xml file (in ...FO3\data\menus) to include the 255 value. Just go down to the <_MaxValue> entry and change it to 255 with Notepad (or something similar) manually.

      I admit I haven't gotten far enough into this playthrough to max any skills out and need to see if the edit works in full or not, but at least the UI seems to be working correctly on normal leveling -- so far. It's letting me assign skill points and advance to Perk selection, and so on with both DarN and the extra edit working.

      *EDIT* And I just realized that my brain decided that the post date on the OP was '16, when it's really '15. D'oh! */Edit*

      <_MaxValue><!-- The max value for a stat -->
      <copy> 255 </copy> <!-- DarN 100 -->

      You mean this line, right? changing it didnt let me put points past 100.

      "If you use wasteland mastery and this but cannot raise your skills after all skills are at 100 here is a way to fix it: type in the console- player.ForceAV barter 80 - this will allow you to add 20 skill points to your level, as for some reason the game seems to only let you raise all skills to 100 (though you can raise a skill past that) For exxample with all skills at 100 except one that is at 80 you will be able to allote 20 skill points when you level up. Thus setting a skill at 80 will allow you to add more points and actually be able to fully benefit from Wasteland Mastery. "

      This fixed my issue.

      If you installed it, it won't show up because this mod consists of just an XML file, and has no associated ESM to load. But it is running. Specifically, it's a modified levelup_menu.xml file (located in ...FO3\data\menus, if you're interested) only. AFAIK, the only edit it makes is to the <_MaxValue> entry, changing it from the default 100 to 255. One of the other posters on this thread also confirms this.

      I actually made the edit myself because I'm also running FWE and DarNified UI, and at least DarN makes some edits to that file (also AFAIK). It seemed simpler to me to just make the skill max change manually rather for that reason. I haven't gotten very far into the game on this playthrough & setup, and certainly not far enough to be blowing skill points on max-level skills, but so far FO3 hasn't gone belly up on me. =)

    This doesn't work...I've tried everything on the web, I've edited xmls til my fingers bled. most it does is just trick the ui into assigning points over a hundred if less than a 100 but it doesn't stick and on next level up all skills will be 100 (+/-) again. I did manage to get the true values to show using darnUI , wasteland mastery, maxlevel100, perkeverylevel and dree perks to increase skills with out adding points in level up screen. DarnUI has the option to DISPLAY skill values past a 100, not allow you to assign points over a 100. (http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img673/2600/yvuBwO.png) only works if installed before you level past 30. If your already past 30 the skills will only stay 100 (+/-). Works on New Vegas as well, but there's a toggler mod for mcm to show true skill values that works well too. Wasteland mastery is essential if you want skills over a 100, assigning points past 100 in the level up screen just doesn't work! Reading skill books and choosing perks that add points to skills will result in the skill points being added. Using console setav makes everything go back to 100 (+/-) The game wasn't designed to assign points over 100, changing a few lines of code in an xml file isn't going to work, it's only cosmetic at best. Skills still show 100(+/-) in pipboy skill menu though, haven't found a work around for that yet, anyone know of one please share

      Based on your using "perkeverylevel", I'm guessing that you clicked the wrong section on the home page of Nexus and are therefore at the wrong mod. This is for Fallout 3, not New Vegas.

    This mod doesn't seem to do what it's supposed to do for me. Can anyone help? I have Wasteland Mastery, level cap to 99, as well as Revamped Leveling. Yet whenever i enter a level up screen i am not able to distribute any skill points at all... even when at the Revamped Leveling menu.

    Could the mod author comment on what exactly was changed in the XML file? I am also running Darnified UI, which has it's own leveled xml file. Overwriting will likely cause the DarnUI to stop working on the level up screen, so I would rather just merge the 2.

    I looked through both files, and only found one immediate change, under the Skill level section, the DarnUI has 100 (vanilla number) and under this mod's modified file, it is set at 255. I just need to know if anything else was added or changed inside this mod's file, to update it on DarnUI's. It is kind of a pain to go through both files line by line and not sure what is necessary to change.

    Doesn't seem to work for me. Followed the instructions in the description, and no dice. Running FO3 on Windows 7 64-bit.
