Seems like a really cool mod but I can't get the original mod to work. I just get a bug when I try switching overlays saying -997 and the overlays don't appear. I have tried everything in the comments I just can't get it to work.
Sorry to bother, but still not working. I also get the -1 to -980 when i choose the overlays, while the effects work nicely. Yes, I have tried running it with Unified HUD and also with UIO, no results. Please help
Is there any way to get an overlay to stay up permanently? I play pretty much exclusively in 1st Person, and having the overlay disappear during dialogue and while looking at the PipBoy is immersion-breaking to the max, so I wouldn't mind if it put it over everything. Any help/advice?
because u need to use Unified HUD Project http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/15771/? it did it to me untill i added that mod and i have just replaced image 2 for one of my own
I've got a question - How do I make the overlays look like in the picture? In my game, the overlays look too centered, there isn't as much "field of view" in the visor unlike the one in the pictures.

A Step 3a has been added, and 3b has been clarified. Please see below:
==========================================================================
Installation
==========================================================================
IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading from version 0.1, follow the steps in
the upgrading section instead!
1. Before installation, make sure to keep a clean save game in case it
doesn't work as it should.
2. Extract the contents of the archive to your Data/ directory and
and activate the plugin.
The next step depends on whether you already have an existing
hud_main_menu.xml in your Data/menus/main/ folder or not.
If the file exists:
3a. Open your Data/menus/main/hud_main_menu.xml in a text editor and add
the line
<include src="schlang\helmpov.xml"/>
in the end, above the closing </menu> tag. It has to look like this:
<include src="schlang\helmpov.xml"/>
</menu>
If the file doesn't exist:
3b. Create the following folder: Data/menus/main.
Copy hud_main_menu.xml from the optional/ directory in the .zip archive in [to]
the Data/menus/main/ folder.

You have to install Unified Hud after each installment of a HUD mod.
Unified HUD is the only way to get all these Hud mods to work together without having to edit stuff yourself.
