The black version does not work, all I get is messed up textures whenever I try to use the black esp's and I have tried archive invalidation and it still doesn't work.
I had the same problem, the cause is modder's failure to communicate properly. It says this:
{Installation: 1. Unpack the contents of the folder with '7z','Winrar' or any other extracting program you use 2. Choose either '12','24' or '36' depending on your preference and how strong you want the armor to be 3. Copy the selected .esp into your Fallout 3 directory 4. Check the 'Improved Vault Suit' mod in the launcher or FOMM}
What is missing here? THIS!!!!! >
5. Copy the Textures folder included in the mod's folder and drop it into your data folder. Answer 'yes' if prompted to overwrite.
Very cool suit, but I won't endorse, at least until that little oversight that caused me and others hours of frustration is FIXED.
This is awesome, I've been wanting an armor mod that I could see as lore friendly instead of having some oddly colored power armor and I found what I've been looking for with this.
