Yes, it was a flaw in the original, as xENJAJVEx theirself noted on the original mod's thread. One commenter in that thread said for them it was caused by a conflict with a player home mod, and by placing that mod before this walkway one fixed the issue. However, several mods seem to do these sorts of things to Megaton (eg, Megaton Tweaks, and More 2 Megaton), but users also report the problems are transient.
Thanks for this. LOOT was telling me the original mod was 'obsolete' and that I should install the 'update', which had me puzzled since the original mod page had just the one download... Turns out I had to grabberize this one to make LOOT shut up about it
Ok... a bit necro but I'm trying different mods out to what I usually use.. but both this and the older version cause my save to ctd at start. I don't know if FO3Edit is telling me why but there are a few mods that have red references with these activated, even though they don't seem to have any connection to this mod. Red means 'bad' right??...
Hi there, Camou. Which mods are you using? When I play FO3 I have also several other mods installed including my own Megaton Homes and Launderette (which are not uploaded atm). A manager and a load organizer are necessary tools. Wrye Bash is the King. Have you tried to clean any of the other mods? Or those signalling "red flags"?
I would need more details to be any help; a screenshot of your FO3Edit results would be best. My first guess without any additional info would be that there are incompatible mods installed, or if you did anything to this mod ("cleaned" the file wrong?).
As fredlaus said, starting with any mod organizer (if you aren't using one now) is the best first step.
Fantastic work, OP! You should just go ahead and take the images from the broken version-- maybe post a link there yourself to get people to download the fix as opposed to the broken version
Perfect. After I installed the original version of Megaton Walkway some of my Megaton NPCs were REALLY interested in the rear corner of the Church of Atom for some reason. More disturbingly, brahmin and other NPCs were sometimes suiciding off of the walkway as soon as I would enter the area (I have fall height realism installed). I replaced it with this version, used the "moveto player" and "resurrect" commands to get everyone back on track, and now there is peace in the valley again.
Endorsed. BOSS led me to this file, so I never got to see the difference between this and the original. But it looks great, like it should've been there all along. And I trust the fixes you made based on your description. I'll be endorsing the original too.
@ergo1066 Where? Next to the Atom preacher, or basically underneath Craterside Supply? Cause they're supposed to gather by the preacher, and I've only seen one person get stuck under Craterside Supply (it was Nathan), but he got out a few minutes later for me...

Their "flight" path seems to be blocked by some support beams, although I've never seen them take this route. :/
I've been using a version of this mod before without issues, but I don't remember if it was this one or the "original" version.
Cheers

By the way: endorsed!
