Tribe War Songs and Dances 1.0 for Fallout 3 and NV
---------------------------------------------------
Picked by nenina

Ever since I found the Native American Music mod by Karthago I have found myself loving the idea of putting more of it into my Fallout 3 / NV game.

This music is the sound of Native American drums and chants, lullabies, memorial songs, and dances. Emphasis is on drums and chanting with minimal special effects. There are no guitars, string instruments, or synthetic New Age sweeps, not that there is anything wrong with that. The intention was to take you back to America before it became the United States. The songs were picked from YouTube and converted to .mp3 format, then edited to address various concerns ( crowd talking and announcers, mainly ) and correct volume.

There are two folders in the .zip file: Main and Optional. The main folder archive contains 13 songs that I felt would contribute greatly to your Fallout Native American atmosphere, as well as excellent accoustics. The Optional folder contains 7 songs that I felt had issues, not in terms of the quality of the material itself, but sound difficulties beyond my narrow ability to address. These include: recording equipment ( being outside ), format issues ( mono to stereo ), thunder, vocal error ( someone's voice cracked or spontaneous ad libbing ), and background hissing.

Sadly, this meant that many of the war songs had to go into the optional folder. Don't take it lightly - I would not have provided them at all if they didn't provide a sense of impression on me. But I felt I should explain this so that you don't think I simply piled the music into a .zip without caring if they were appropriate together or without having looked at them in Audacity 1.3 Beta.

Note: Unfortunately, this all was done using my SB Live! and headphones, and so I would have no idea how these songs would translate to HD audio. Because I don't see what the big deal is and I won't buy a new card. Not yet, anyway.
