Edit: Please download the main file again. The songs were way too loud and I have adjusted them all to match the volume of FO3's default music.

Edit: I wonder if it is a mistake for me to have these songs match the volume of FO3's default music. Other mods have louder music so that the player can set the music level lower. That way stock music is un-intrusive and new music plays at a comfortably listenable volume. Leave your thoughts in the comments section regarding this.



Description:

Ever since I found a certain mod I have found myself wanting to put more Native American music into my FO3

This music is Native American drums and chants, peyote songs, lullabies, memorial songs, dances, and flutes. Emphasis is on drums and chanting with minimal special effects. There are absolutely no guitars, string instruments, and very little synthetic sound ( only one song has it ), not that there is anything wrong with that. The intent is to take you back to America before it became the United States. The songs were picked and edited to address various concerns ( crowd talking and announcers, mainly ) and to change volume to match FO3 music.

There are two folders in each .zip file: Main and Optional. The main folder archive contains songs that I feel have the best sound quality. The Optional folder contains songs that belong in the set but have issues, not in the quality of the material itself but sound difficulties beyond my narrow ability to address. These include: environmental noises ( birds, thunder, etc ), format issues ( mono to stereo ), vocal error ( voice cracking, spontaneous ad libbing, children, etc ), and background hissing.

Many of the war songs had to go into the Optional folder. Don't take it lightly - I would not have picked them at all if they didn't provide a real sense of impression on me. I felt I should explain this so that you don't think I simply piled the music into a .zip without caring if the songs were appropriate together.

Note: This all was done using my SB Live! and headphones, and so I would have no idea how these songs would sound in HD audio. I don't see what the big deal is and I won't buy a new card. Not yet, anyway.



Installation:

There is no .esp. Just unzip and place the .mp3 files into your C:\...\Data\Music\Explore folder.



Uninstall Instructions:

The files are named with the prefix TWSD and TWSD-O. They are easy to identify, so just delete them.
