Been a little while, seems no one has had any issues to report (which is a good thing)! Just wanted to drop in and say thanks again to everyone who has made use of this mod and enjoyed having it for their games. It is hard to believe that nearly 6,000 (a total of about 11.5k times) people out there are using this in their setup (or have at some point), and that a solid 470 of you have given an Endorsement to the mod! I never really expected this to take off so much, and I am humbled by the response.
Anyways, for those of you still playing FO3 out there, I hope this adds a little additional spice to your plays. Be sure to check out the NV version of the mod for your runs of that as well: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42483/?
Hi, just wondering, should I get the original Interface Mod (The one last updated in 2008) or would the updated standalone version work (the one uploaded in 2018)? Thanks!
Official DarnUI website is password locked for some reason. If you want to get it you'll have to google for links from other sources. (there are some steam and reddit posts you can find with links) If anyone knows more about this or something let us know by posting a reply, just don't post any download links or you'll risk getting banned.
It has been years since I have looked at these files or even used this, but when I last did it worked fine with Dynamic Crosshair without the need for a patch (as noted in the primary description).
Works perfectly except when using an Xbox 360 controller the (A and (X/B icons to hit accept trade in shops, cancel or accept sleep time etc is underneath the UI buttons. Its tolerable but is there a work around to fix this by chance?
Possibly, but you'd be better off checking on the forums for a solution to that. I never developed this with controller support in mind, and haven't touched the file or played FO3 in years.
hey, a little question, I've modified the file : "data/menus/levelup_menu.xml", for limiting the unlimited skills points. in [ "MaxValue" >> "Add" ] i've changed this : <mul> 1 </mul>
if i understand, this is the multiplier of the max skill value.
It's ok to change this ? Or it can break the mod's fonctions ? thx ;)
Not sure as I have not looked at that particular file before, but I think you should be ok by the sounds of it. Give it a shot, if it breaks anything just revert the change.
ok, it seems to be ok for now. Even with level uncaper. When i reach 100 to all stats and level up, i'm not stuck, i've just no more points to add, and i can still choose a perk; and that's pretty cool ^^ Only one issue is when i reach 100 to a skill, i can add 1 skill point to it every level. Not a so bad thing anyway with FWE maluses. Sorry if i've bad english, and thx ;-)
All links in the description have been updated to reflect the changes that have happened with Nexus and Bethesda's forums since back when this mod was released. This should result in faster loading times for anyone using the links as they will not have to be processed by a redirect anymore. I have also initiated a few of the new features for the mod, such as the Bugs Report tab.
I will be watching this page a little closer for awhile here as I see the announcement of FO4 has spiked downloads on FO3 mods again, and I would like to be able to provide better support for this if users have any issues. Thanks again to all the new supporters and endorsers since my last comments!
Not that I am aware of specifically. That would not have fallen under the umbrella of what this mod is for, and I would consider that to be something good for another mod or to be included directly into DarnUI or Interface Revelation. I don't think either of the authors are still working on the FO3 versions of their mods, so I don't suspect this will be done unless someone wants to tackle it via a new mod. I am basically done with FO3 myself as well, and live in the land of NV now, so I don't think this is something I am willing to tackle directly.

Most links are dead.
Thanks!
