This mod sounds great but since it doesn't appear to be compatible with Weapon Mod Kits that puts players in a tough position. The WMK mod has better support and integration with other major weapon mods like Apocalypse Armory and RH Iron Sights but dang this mod sounds nice. I'll have to download it and save it for a future alternate playthrough minus WMKs etc.

this mod is so very brillient!!!!!!! I whish the dlc weapons can use tatical ammo too. and for which mod I prefer to compatiable-----I highly suggest the apocalypse armory, since there are so many classic guns but it would be obviously a huge work to be done. I hope you could find some other easy ways to slove the problem. great mod!
I don't own the DLCs and can't afford to buy them right now, so I can't really make it work with them. If I ever get ahold of them, I'll release DLC compatibility files.
yea haha i noticed hav to change the script to switch to the appropriate weapons that use different ammo the weapons i use no npc can get so that wont b a problem the main weapons i use stil use standard 10mm and 5mm so i can use the projectile from the mod its for personal use anyways haha
sounds easy but prob too lazy to do neat mod endorsed when it lets me
Yes, making this mod compatible with mod-installed weapons is possible, but it requires a pretty decent amount of work. Adding the script won't be enough - you have to CREATE a new script for each weapon, and you have to create several copies of the weapon with different ammo types. If it uses its own ammunition type, you have to create those, too, as well as a message for the selection, and if it uses its own projectile, you also have to create those. In the copied weapons, you have to change the ammunition type, script, projectile, and min spread, and for some ammo types, you have to add an object effect or a crit effect. And if any NPCs use the weapon, you'll have to edit the NPC scripts to make them use the tactical ammunition, as well. AND if it uses a custom ammunition type, you'll also have to make scripts, notes, and objects for the schematics, and you'll have to add that ammunition to multiple leveled item lists so that you can obtain it.
In total, Tactical Ammunition contains over 1000 new forms and changes over 100 existing forms. It was a huge project for me that took me several months to complete.
So, the answer is: yes, it can be made compatible, but it's difficult, and it would be far more difficult for someone not familiar with the way it's all set up and scripted (i.e., me) to do it - so, if you want it made compatible with an existing mod weapon, let me know which one, and I'll see what I can do.

im guessin it can ? by adding the appropriate gunammoseleect script to the mod gun?
