I recently returned to this, and finally got it to work! I had originally found the meshes and textures in my NV folders, copied them and followed instructions but in-game still got a red exclamation mark. However, I'm nowadays a little bit more proficient with xEdit and the one thing I could see in FO3Edit which the mod required but I didn't see in my NV's Fallout mesh bsa (using bsa extractor), was skeleton.nif
However, I do still have TTW installed, and had a (rare) brainwave and looked for it there, and in the TTW mesh bsa was a skeleton.nif inside an nvraven folder, so I extracted and used that. And hey presto, the mod works! Now, as far as I was aware, installing TTW wouldn't remove anything from the FNV mesh bsa, so I am at a loss. I can only tell you all when I look in my FNV mesh bsa there's no nvraven skeleton, and yet it was in the TTW meshes bsa! So until someone refutes it, I can only assume TTW does indeed move the skeleton. Weird.
Anyway, I hope that helps other readers - at least those who still have TTW installed but wanted to go back and play FO3 for some mods/quests that aren't in TTW (or, like me, have simply concluded FO3 is the better game but haven't uninstalled TTW). Cheers.
This is a really cool mod I wish someone expanded on. I imagine if Moira came across and injured bird she would depending on the injury either eat it or attempt to save it.
Any chance you could offer advice on the assets? I have the GOG version of NV but can't anywhere see any NV mesh and texture BSAs - all I see is an NV esm file. I tried various ways to open/extract it. I'm wondering if my TTW install overwrote it but I doubt it. @Slicer51b Hmm... if this mod, should be illegal, I don't see how, as far as I have read it in the rules and terms it shouldn't be.
I am making no attempt to upload any prohibited materials and I'm being very clear on not encouraging people to do so.
This is nothing more then a kit for people who legally are in the possession of the NV game, to make further use of the game resources they have bought and paid for.
The equivalence to a kit like this would be to post a console command to add an item from the vanilla game to your backpack.
In any case this is not something that the common members of the forum are allowed to debate in the mod comments section, these issues are limited to the moderators alone, so I'd advise people to take it elsewhere if further discussions is felt needed.
As long the modder did not include or shares the other game assets. it's fine and legal.
I seen oblivion expanded summons using Morrowwind creature the same way. No creature 3d mesh, textures, creature sounds in the files except Pure Esp or esm.
'Just esp or esm and Just that'.
Means that we have to own the other game as BSA sources or simply either crash about or having a big <!> on the game.
From what I have seen, even this is "illegal porting." A modder uploaded a retexed variant of the Desert Ranger armor to the Fallout 3 Nexus, but still requiring the meshes/textures be extracted from the NV BSAs. He narrowly avoided being banned by "hiding" the file page, then consulting a moderator.

That game should have been made into F3 DLC at the first place. If it doesn't then somebody and someone else gonna do it.
Naturally. Peace yo.
