Thanks for this mod. I liked how Bethesda tried to add some moral ambiguity to this quest, but the black and white karma system and poor Bethesda writing kind of ruined it. I feel like they should've given you the option to kill Roy if you found him after he murdered Tenpenny, which would then prevent the massacre. The fact that this quest has no good outcome really sucks.
I have a question, in the desc. it says "Yes, Roy's ghoulfriends will reopen the shops the bigots had abandoned" will the shop owners leave Tenpenny tower? Or will the ghouls just take their jobs while they wander around the tower?
The "peaceful" solution to the Tenpenny Tower quests requires you to boot them out. This can be done by stealing from them, convincing them to leave, or straight up murdering them. The ghouls taking over the shops is a way for the game to fill the vacancies that the quest creates since Lydia Montenegro is the person who sells you items for your Penthouse Suite.
Alister Tenpenny wants the lone wanderer to nuke Megaton, which would make him a mass murderer. He also sends the Talon mercs to kill you if you disarm the bomb.
No, I'm afraid that's incorrect. Tenpenny actually wanted the people of Megaton to evacuate their town, THEN blow it up. It's Mister Burke that wants to blow up Megaton with everyone still inside, AND he's the one who sends mercenaries after you if you disarm the bomb.
Tenpenny still takes pot shots at desperate wanderers who are roaming the wastes with his sniper rifle? He is very much an evil character; I don't understand when people act like Burke's the only truly bad person out of the two. He even calls it a 'Wasteland Safari'.
Enough of this, Tenpenny is to die, he is the cancer that is contributing to the downfall of our society and for this he will hang by the neck until dead. So say the order.
He literally paid someone to nuke the entirety of Megaton just because it obstructed the view from his penthouse. Does that sound like the kind of person who cares about civilian casualties?
Thanks for this mod. I never liked any of both solutions Bethesda gave to the Tenpenny Tower Quest. I started a new game with this mod isntalled and solve the quest in the peaceful way and it works perfectly. Already endorsed.
ikr you can choose to kill either tenpenny or kill roy or you could come to a peaceful solution and let both live but then find out that tenpenny dies anyway which is just silly
This is one of the worst quests in all of Beth's games. The diplomatic solution (vanilla) only proves that the humans and Tenpenny were right all along. Besides, it's a private property and they can live as they please. In previous games I always sided with the humans and took the bad karma hit for doing what was right. And stopped listening to GNR. (The first time, after I heard 3 dog's acid comments I went up to him and shot him in the face 8*D )

Tenpenny is to die
BUT Herbert "Daring" Dashwood don't have to die
(thank you so much for making this though oh my god. The fact that the ghouls killed everyone frustrated me to no end)
Honestly, there should be a small quest in vanilla to avoid the fight.
Trying this out, it seems like a better solution.
