Those who used a mod manager, and are noticing messed up location names, there are two esp's for English and Russian. Don't forget to disable the one you don't need.
Also don't bother dropping the backpack on the ground, half the time it just falls through the ground.
Not really half the time but you do have to be careful where you drop it. On a flat surface with nothing underneath and away from walls it's usually fine.
Can someone reply, why backpack add to my general armor 21 points (exaclty bp have 21 of armor) and its stupid. But i must say a bp is great thing, great job. But additional 21 armor. Gah, its ruining the balance.
Open up FO3Edit, select the mod on the list. go under Armor select each item and scroll down to the bottom and then change DNAM- AR from 24.00000 to 0.0000
Actually, you may want to consider this..Depending what you had IN the Bp, if you were shot from behind or at an angle from behind, the contents of said backpack actually would have an effect on the projectile and either slow it or even stop it, again, depending what the contents were. Thus it would have SOME amount of DR or Armor value, albeit maybe not as high as a 21 point bump. So, maybe you could lower it in FO3Edit, as some have suggested. I was just pointing out that a Backpack actually could have some DR/Armor value. It might make the armor bump a bit easier to take, lol.
Does the backpack clips with holstered weapons? such as Assault Rifles and Sniper Rifles (i.e parts of the weapon popping out of the backpack like the ammo clip?
This is just an observation. Just wondering what people think. The average ratio of unique downloads to endorsements hovers around 5%. This indicates, to me, a solid mod. A higher percent is an indicator of an excellent mod. Much lower not so much. I've also noticed that this doesn't apply to downloads in the millions or very high number. The big numbers speak for themselves. Food for thought
I just love this mod. I'm playing at the harshest level of strength and unfortunately really nerfed my strength and other SPECIAL's to raise my intelligence and charisma. Bad idea jeans (old SNL skit). A backpack like this at least allowed me carry something other than the very very basics. The DR is high but a quick xEdit and all is well. (I raised mine to 1000. Nope. That would give me Godlike status. Not an option.) Gave one to my follower and it works perfectly. Great mod man. Endorse!
Just a note. I don't want to call it a bug, but it may be a bug. At least some fun behaviour of the backpack's mattress.
So I bought it at Moira's. To test it right away to see if I wanted to keep the mod, I thought I'd just grab a few winks right there at her shop. I unrolled the matress and slept. All worked well. When that was done, I repacked my matress on the bag AND then, when I tried picking up the backpack from the ground where I had dropped it, it turned red as if it was stolen property. I tested it and as expected, the backpack was stolen and Karma was lost. Moira, very displeased with my behaviour took it from me, reprimanded me for my faulty ways and reclaimed my rightful property as hers. Very likely to sell it back to me once more. What a racket by that Moira lady, and she looked like such a trustworthy merchant. ;P
So that's that. Outside of course there is no problem at all. Only if you sleep at Moira's for some reason, like I did.
Bonus sort-of-bug: At times, maybe when the matress does not find enough space on a surface, some matress-axis-disorientation takes place, where the matress would be totally vertical and half buried in the ground. You can still sleep on it, though. :)
After an hour or so of fiddling with backpack, it works pretty decently. Of course, high DR is still kinda problematic, but nothing we can't fix ourselves.
One of the problems I've noticed is backpack just disappearing instead of getting unequipped when using Minigun, Shishkebab and similar weapons. Probably intended, I guess? Another problem is that it doesn't disappear when using few other big weapons like Fat Man and Railway Gun, resulting in kinda ridiculously looking model overlaps. However, it does disappear when having Gauss Rifle equipped.
Since changing animations would probably be way too much to bother with, maybe limiting backpack to be equipped only when using side arms (well, anything that doesn't go onto character's back - pistols, sawed-off shotgun, etc.) would make more sense?

Thank you for that! Didn't make sense for armored over-the-shoulder junk sacks.

In any case, endorsed.
