Everything TrickyTrack stated below I completely agree with, except the time frame, it took me several hours to complete. Lots of tunnels/hallways with many doorways to hidden areas to clear or loot, I've got to open/check every cabinet, every box, every safe, I'm in no hurry to end my game. It ran absolutely flawlessly, very stable, NO ctd's, flickering, freezes, gaps in the scenery, frustration free. If you are very late game like me, looking to extend, this is a definite choice, it won't disappoint. Kudos and endorsements given for this little gem.
Early 2023 review: It's interesting how such stable and decent quest still missed by majority of Fallout 3 mod players. "Ghoul King" is very similar in narrative and structure parts to vanilla game side quest "THOSE!", and it's not a bad thing. This mod provides new abandoned town with only one survivor, well-designed sewer-dungeon, scientist with, again, failed experiment without any moral thought and, of course, in the end you'll have a nice choice how to deal with the problem (or not?). Straight forward adventure with action and background story to better understand motives behind this experiment with feral ghouls. "Ghoul King", even if somewhat old and has very bearable voice acting, deserves much more recognition and interest from the players than what this project has now. Endorsement from me and deep gratitude for work that has been done. Should you try this mod in 2023? If you like this style of side quests - yes, absolutely, you won't regret this 1 hour long adventure.
Nice mod, good gameplay straight foreward. No annoying bugs or intercations with other mods like FWE, MMM, Project beauty and many other. Lot of clutter to collect. Ghouls are a little too few and too weak for a strong player. Voice quality needs improvement. All in all worth to play. Endorsed
Downloaded and played in 2020. The idea is great, the execution could be better.
The main issue is that the mod generated a lot of CTD´s for me. I have a few mods running (like FWE and MMM, and couple others as well, around 40), but no amount of load order tinkering could make the game stable. Probably something with the way scripts are written. There are a few glitches, but nothing that a console can´t fix. Moveto is your friend here.
The sewers that were supposed to be filled with ghouls had only 6 ghouls for me. That is not what I call filled to the brim :(
Custom items are lore-friendly and not OP.
Sadly could not endorse because of technical issues.
