BUG REPORTING / FEEDBACK (General)
To everyone who wants to help make my mods run as smooth and bug free as possible.

Please throw as much feedback to me on every little thing that looks bugged or out of place, as all this will assist me in making the mod run as smooth and bug free as possible :0)

As I always say: A mod is only as good as the feedback from its users ^^

Things I'm mainly looking for:
  • In combat: Does the actors' combat behavior in a negative way appear to stray from that of the actor it replaces?
  • Are actors set as "dead" or "inactive" by default, in any way distorted or misplaced?
  • Do the actors properly navigate obstacles, or do they appear to get stuck more often than the actors they replace?
  • Are you able to properly interact or open dialog with actors and objects this mod replace or add to the game world?
  • Shifting textures, When coming across actors or objects that are effect by the mod, do texture surfaces appear to "flicker" or sporadically shift?
  • Any kind of distortion or floating parts?
  • Confirmed reports of conflicts between my mod and other mods will also be a big help.

Some or maybe even none of the above will be relevant to the mod in question and it's not in any way to say that I'm not interested in getting reports of anything not on the list, it is just some of the more common ones and I say again, any feedback on bugs or errors will be much appreciated.

Reporting
To begin with people can report any problems they might experience, in the "Comments" section of the mod.

But have I not in one way or another responded to the report, or the problem hasn't solved itself within 24 hours from posting the report, please feel more then welcome to PM me directly, as I at times experience not getting pinged by Nexus when comments have been posted on my mod.

Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry v3 - HotFix01

Please note that this is a HotFix test, and will require the feedback of the players for me to know if it works or not ;0)

This is a response to the reported issue of the pip-boy arm of the snow uniform being discolored.

I actually noticed some minor flaws in some of the models when I had a look at them in NifSkope, which I've now fixed, this may or may not solve the problem, but as I don't have any way of really testing it right now, please make sure to let me know if the problems was solved with this fix :0)

Install files on top of main files and accept any prompts for overwrite.

DESCRIPTION:

------------------------------------------------------------
This mod will change the standard issued armor and arms of all regular US infantry in Anchorage, along with all of the unique US NPCs also found there.

All the elements that has been change, have been done in a way so that it will not break the "lore" (For those interested in that sort of stuff), which means that all arms and armors are versions of gear that can be found in the Wasteland, but in a much more mint condition, as they are from a time before the "apocalypse".

In any case I'll let the pictures in the "Images" section tell the rest ^^

4 ).
INSTALLATION (General):

------------------------------------------------------------
Just in case someone don't know how to do this.

Manual Install:
  • Download.
  • Extract content to your desktop.
  • Once finished extracting, move all files to the "Data" directory of Fallout3.
(If you are not sure where the data folder is, it can usually be found here "C: / Program Files / Bethesda Softworks / Fallout 3").
  • If the download is an update, click "Yes" or "Accept" to any pop-ups asking if you want to "merge" or "Override" existing folders and files.
  • Now start your game and in the first small window that pops-up you need to click on the "Data Files" button.
  • In the new pop-up find and tick the box next to the name of the .ESP you just installed.
  • Hit the "OK" button and press "Play".
  • Done.

FOMM Install:
  • Download
  • Create a folder with the mod name and place any .ESP / .ESM along with "Textures" and "Meshes" folders (If any) inside it. (Creating a mod folder is of cause only necessary if the download doesn't already include such a folder. Should the download contain a folder with the name "DATA" I'd suggest renaming this folder to the name of the mod instead).
  • Zip the folder containing the files and place the Zip on the desktop for easy access.
  • Open FOMM and click the button that says "Package Manager".
  • In the new window click the button that says "Add FOMod".
  • Located the Zip you just made and double click it.
  • Once the "Package Manager" is done building the "FOMod", located the mod you just added, in the list of mods shown in the "Package Manager" window, once located double click it to install.
  • When the "Package Manager" has completed the install close the "Package Manager" window.
  • If the mod you just installed requires a specific load order, remember to double check the mod list in the FOMM main window, to make sure the mod is in the right place.
  • Done

New file: Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry v3

Upon fellow Nexus member rawalker28 bringing to my attention that the Wasteland reward version of the Winterized Combat Armor, was not being replaced by my version, I decided to correct this flaw, but as I opened up the .ESP to make the changes I felt an urge to take it a step further and this is the result:

This version update will make several changes to the Wasteland gear rewarded by the Anchorage quest chain.

New Features:
3 New lockers in the reward room.

- Locker A1:

  • "USI Combat Helmet" x2
  • "USI Sniper Armor" x1 (Adds "Stealth Field" +5 and "Increased Critical Chance" +2)
  • "USI Launcher Armor" x2 (Adds "Increased Big Guns" +5)

- Locker A2:
  • "USI Army Jumpsuit" x2
  • "USI Infantry Pack" x2 (Adds "Increased Carry Weight" +500)

New file: Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry v2 - Rearmed

This alternate .ESP will change the script which sorts the load out of the player once entering the sim.

The change will add additional gear to the items received and will include 1x Red Beret, 1x G3 Assault Rifle and 75x 556mm rounds.

All items will spawn in your backpack along with the other gear once entering the sim.

Furthermore, changes have also been made to the script that removes all the items from your backpack when you enter the tent with General Chase the first time, you will now keep all the gear you've collected in the first part of the sim.

New file: Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry v2

This upload contains nothing new, all this does is gather all the files (Old: Main + Update 01 + Update 02) into a single download :0)

Re-uploaded "Zeta - Elliott Tercorien Reinforced Armor v1" as I by accident had included the wrong .ESP >.

Sorry about that ^^

---------------------------------------------------
2010-10-24 - 19:22
NEW File - "Zeta - Elliott Tercorien Reinforced Armor v1"
This optional will add an .ESP along with two new meshes with texture.

The in-game effect of this optional will be to change the armor and assault rifle of Elliott Tercorien from the "Zeta DLC", so it will be in sync with the "Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry".

Extra markings have also been added to Elliott's armor, as it is the unique "Winterized Medic Armor".

Please be aware that the changes will effect all the "Winterized Medic Armor" from the DLC and not only Elliott's.

As a minimum this mod requires you to have the meshes and textures from the main download installed for it to work.

Also please be aware that the "v1" does not support female textures yet and will therefor display the armor without the new markings.

I should however have the female "Marked" textures ready no later then tomorrow.

2010-10-24 - 02:07
NEW File - "Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry - Update 02"
This update will add an updated .ESP along with a new mesh and texture.

The in-game effect of the update will be to add a "Medic" shoulder bag to Doctor Adami, the medic found in the infirmary of the US base camp.

---------------------------------------------------
2010-10-20 - 17:35
NEW File - "Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry - Balaclava Version"
This upload will add an updated .ESP along with two new meshes and a single texture.

This is an add-in that will make the infantry wear balaclavas underneath their helmets, like in the vanilla versions, but still keeping chin strap and intercom mic from the mod.

This might just be a temporary version, if I find a cooler way to make this, instead of just a re-texture of the vanilla balaclava texture.

---------------------------------------------------
2010-10-20 - 01:48
NEW File - "Anchorage - Reinforced US Infantry - Update"
This update will add an updated .ESP along with two new meshes.

The in-game effect of the update will be to replace the backpacks on the "Team Missile Units" with a missile rack.

7 ).
POTENTIAL CONFLICTS:

------------------------------------------------------------
Any other mod that will alter members of the US forces in the Anchorage DLC.

This does however NOT include the Power armored heavy infantry.

The heavy infantry has had NO changes made to them what so ever, at this point, so there will be no conflicts with such mods in any way.

The "Zeta - Elliott Tercorien Reinforced Armor v1" mod will conflict with any other mod that alters Elliott Tercorien and especially the "Winterized Medic Armor".

8 ).
MOD BACKGROUND:

------------------------------------------------------------
This is my latest Anchorage related mod, this time with focus on the US forces from the Anchorage DLC.

I tried to stay as close to the vanilla items already found in the Wasteland, but still making the gear look as of a different time, before the nuclear holocaust.

This was done by using gear that appears less tarnished i.e. the assault rifles use polycarbon instead of wood and the armor plating is less damaged and so on.

Later on the weapons would have replaced most of the polycarbon parts with wood, as the polycarbon would be much more hard to come by in a post apocalyptic world.
