A reminder if it helps anyone: this is a mod from 2010, and it's not prepped for Vortex. If you simply install and enable with Vortex, you'll end up with all four ESP files enabled instead of just the one you need (see the mod description tab for details). This means that all four conflicting versions of the mod are going to be enabled at once, so a simple install/enable through Vortex won't get you the results you want.
Instead:
Use the "Manual Download" option to manually download the mod archive file (this is just the file that will downloads using that option).
Open the downloaded file with 7Zip, WinZip or another program that handles archive files.
Extract just the one ESP file you want, depending on the version of this mod you want to use (see the mod's description tab for details).
Click the Vortex "Install from File" button, which you'll see at the top by opening "Vortex's "Mods" tab, using the left-side menu in Vortex.
After clicking the "Install from File" button, find and select the ESP file where you unpacked it. Vortex will tell you that the file's not a mod archive (because it's just a single ESP file) and ask if you want to create a mod using just that file. Say yes.
Once Vortex is done packing the archive, make sure the mod that results is marked "Enabled" and that you've deployed mods as usual. (By default, Vortex will name the new mod the same name as the file name of the ESP file you chose in step 5.)
mod organizer users just need to check the plugins tab (at the top of where u can see ur downloads in MO), and deselect 3 of the esp that u arent using, in this case im using only Flashlight-LOS.esp
aww this is such a great mod ! such a shame i got minus 20fps using this, and iknow i did read the description.. But, my pc is beast 1080ti , i9 9900k 32gigs ram etc etc, but still lags with flashlight on like 40 fps from constant 60.. But great mod nonetheless! :)
The readme did warn against a performance hit, unfortunately. I'm not seeing any hit myself, but I'm also using Flashlight Performance non-FOSE version. Not sure yet if all these versions make a difference with frame rates.
I'm sure there's a way, but the solution I went with was just using the non-FOSE version and assigning the flashlight (the item, not the <settings>) to a hot key.
I like the mod, it's great, but I get this issue where it has duplicated the flashlight, and it's settings menu in my inventory, and Craterside Supply has had its door name changed to what I can only describe as 'Moon Runes'. Maybe another mod is changing Craterside, but that doesn't account for the flashlight reproducing like a fleshlight. Any fix would be appreciated, thanks a ton.
EDIT: Figured it out, for some odd reason ALL files were activated for some odd reason. In other words, it's fixed.
