===============
Description:
===============

Victoria was made by request for another player. She is a stand-alone companion who doesn't need another mod to control her.
Although she is not as complete as my Crystal Companion-- http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12840 -- she still has many features.

===============
Details:
===============

Victoria is an ex-Outcast soldier who had a run-in with her commander. Her 2 comrades were killed in an Enclave ambush and she wants revenge. But her commander wants nothing to do with chasing Enclave. So, Victoria has left the Outcasts and is looking to hook up with you. She is currently haunting the Megaton Player Home in hopes of talking to you.

If you would like a tank for your group, Victoria can do the job. Since she is an ex-Outcast, she is trained to wear power armor. Her tag skills are Big Weapons, Energy Weapons and Melee. Help her retrieve the power armor that she stashed (after her fight with the Enclave), and she will have a nice set of Enclave Tesla Armor to wear (Power armor Re-Texture by me). She comes equipped with a decent plasma rifle, but will need your help to secure a big weapon.

Except for the initial hiring dialogue, she is fully vanilla-voiced. You can set her up for the following: Essential ON/OFF, follow distance, bravery/confidence level, change home, go home, guard, wait, and relax. She will eat, sleep, and use idlemarkers when in the relax (sandbox) mode. Her eyes and hair are self-contained.

Victoria will also give you a summoning mask when hired. If she gets lost/stuck/etc., equip the mask and she should be teleported to you.

Possible Upgrades:

None at this time.

===============
Requirements:
===============

Fallout 3 Patch 1.7
Not Required, but highly recommended:
Fallout Mod Manager: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640
ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944

===============
Install:
===============

1. Extract the files from the zip. (FOMM recommended---ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated recommended)
2. If manually installing, copy files to (your installion folder)\Fallout3\Data\
3. Start Fallout 3 Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the Victoria.esp file.
4. If using FOMM, check the Victoria.esp file in your load order list.

===============
Un-Install:
===============

1. Uncheck the Victoria.esp file in FOMM or Data
2. Delete the Victoria files/folders from the following locations:
Data\Victoria.esp
Data\textures\Victoria
Data\meshes\Victoria
Data\Sound\Voice\Victoria.esp

===============
Compatibility:
===============

Victoria should be compatible with most normal, companion friendly mods/environments. Keep her out of Vault87a as most companions will cause issues there (she should automatically fire herself and go home to her homemarker, but this has not been tested yet). Compatibility with the DLC's is unknown as I have not played them myself yet.

If conflicts should arise, try changing the load orders of the conflicting mods.

This mod has been checked and cleaned with FO3Edit.

===============
Bugs/Issues:
===============

Please report any new issues if you find them---as of the latest version, all previous issues should have been corrected.

===============
History:
===============

1.0--10/10/2010 - Initial Release

1.1--10/12/2010 - Fixes several minor issues:
1. Has missing meshes and correct file paths for Victoria's hair.
2. When Victoria is told to go home, when you talk to her again, she will respond correctly to your commands--Let's Go/Relax/Etc.
3. When Victoria is fired she will return to the Megaton Common House where you should be able to re-hire her through dialogue.
4. I still have not been able to get her to sandbox properly when she arrives home after you tell her to go home. You will need to tell her to relax/etc. when you talk to her next. I am working on a fix to try and correct this.
5. If Victoria has been sent home, you can summon her with the mask to your location.

1.2--11/7/2010
1. Any remaining issues with her hair should be resolved (barring any conflicts caused by other mods).
2. Victoria will now properly use relax sandbox when sent home.

Lots of thanks to give to all the excellent modders on the Nexus whose work I have admired and dissected for many of the ideas and lessons I've learned so far.

Special thanks to the following:

Miax(imus) for his excellent tutorials which I am just scratching the surface of so far. The Gimp tutorial: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11324
and his FO3Edit tutorial is a must have: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8629

Loxy38 for the great Jessi and Kelsey companions which are teaching me a great deal about how to properly build a companion. Jessi can be found here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2732 , and Kelsey is here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4473

wogz187 for the 187Gurlz (Sasha) companion found here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2418 , and the companion tutorial which gave me a lot of insight on how to build a companion. The tutorial is at SCC Companions (in the files section): http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2399

pkleiss for the Dialogue and Quest tutorial, and for the help on the Bethesda Forums. The tutorial is here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12163

Cipscis for the Scripting For Beginners found on his website here: http://www.cipscis.com/fallout/tutorials/beginners.aspx , and on the Geck Wiki. I knew/know squat about scripting and his tutorial got me off to a decent start---although I am still just learning to crawl.

Thanks to Bethesda for creating Fallout 3 and to all the people who have helped build the GECK wiki---especially the 'My First Vault' Tutorial--- which I continue to learn from.
