Early 2023 review: good optional expansion for "The Librarian -Orion's Gate" mod which provides more playtime for investigating functional Enclave Northern Base. This mod is going to really test your arsenal and gear, because the amount of Enclave soldiers, robots and defense turrets is big enough even for high level character. But the reward is also worth it (new variation of MK III Power Armor and new big energy weapon). Some notes here and there, but, as author of this project already stated in description, Northern Base isn't about the narrative, but pure gunplay experience. And, yep, like author wrote, I found "Katniss Everdeen" reference, but didn't understand Borderlands reference (I really should try this series, I know). As for technical side, I didn't encounter, mentioned by other players, freeze while looting Enclave Soldiers. Also I didn't have any problems with saves files after leaving Enclave base like some users stated. Everything worked flawlessly. Should you try this mod in 2023? If you want to spend more time, progressing through "The Librarian - Orion's Gate" mod, this additional content is a must have for potential players. Nothing too groundbreaking, but stable and engaging dungeon to shoot more Enclave "baddies" for 25-30 minutes. Endorsement from me.
this was actually pretty fun. made the Northern Territory feel more than just a small stop on the way. only problem I seem to have is when looting the Enclave troopers with the new power armor. it crashes when searching their corpses. no other issues to report though. had a lot of fun either way. (for reference, I am using MMM and MMM -Plus)
I'm not sure why you can't bring them. Then again this was so long ago I'm not sure if I navmeshed the place or not, lol. Try using console commands to summon them and see if they can follow you.
Excellent add-on that provides a worthy challenge and competently utilises an otherwise empty space. Works very well with no issues at all. A little repetitive after a while and some of the design choices are questionable, perhaps the author was getting bored towards the end or just never got round to finishing the mod, there are areas which were clearly intended to be used but weren't, and others which look rather hastily executed as compared to the rest of the mod, but overall, good fun and well-laid out.
Phenomenal mod. It really enriches the already great original Orion's Gate. The Northern Territories are one of my favorite areas of the original mod, and this addon actually gives you a reason to be there (As well as expand on the Enclave lore). Too bad you can't really give the entire Wasteland Enclave those Power Armors, as they would actually be terrifying to encounter for once.
I guess this mod is dead? Either way, there's no esm file, just an esp. In the description it say there's an esm and esp, so is this going to work with just the esp or what? I don't want to install if it's just going to crash my game.
[The mod is build on Orion's Gate, so obviously you'll need that] = the esm attached to this mod. Install orion's gate first. >> http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/10779/?
