It's been over a year since I created my Destructable Mininukes mod, so I decided to give it a makeover, and address some of the issues that were brought up by users.
This version does not change the regular mininukes, rather it adds a new item into the game world called 'Unstable Mininukes'. They can not be used as ammo, but they pack all the same punch. Like the last version, they will explode if shot, but unlike the last version, these nukes will detonate if near enough to another explosion, like from another unstable mininuke. Be careful, the slightest bump will also set them off.
Be aware as well, these are scripted items. Using too many of them at one time may slow down rhe game or even crash it. You'll have to do your own testing to see how many your PC can handle at once.
How to install -----------------
Copy the unstablemininukes.esp to your Fallout 3\Data directory and activate.
Gameplay ----------
When you first run the mod, 5 unstable mininukes will be added to your inventory, along with a Magic Tireiron (patent pending). Every time you equip the Magic Tireiron 5 more unstable mininukes will be added to your inventory. Not very lore friendly, but this mod was made for fun. Also, being scripted items, I wanted the user to be directly responsible for how many they bring into the game.
The unstable mininukes are designed to be stable enough to survive the initial drop from your inventory, but it is advisable you do it on level ground. As an added precaution, you should crouch first too. They will also not explode while you are grabbing them, but expect a big Kaboom! if you release them from even a small height from the ground.
