basically, I can add this skeleton, pull armor meshes and textures directly from the oblivion game files, put them into the fallout 3 game files, then make a personal armor mod in the geck from it all?

I'd like to thank you for this. You see, I have absolutely no idea how to rig. I've been waiting for ages for a "Kimono" mod. Japanese Kimono, or Yukata. There's one here, but it's for the german version of Fallout 3 only, sadly. But.... Oblivion is rife with them, and in my opinion, it's absolutely stupid; Bethesda using another skeleton. This just gives me something new to learn with the GECK.

Endorsed. ^^ (But seriously.... why hasn't anyone made a Kimono/Yukata armor yet?)

thanks for this, saves an extrahour or two in rigging.

also fallout uses a different rigging method, in order to port to oblivion you would also have to reset the arms along with separating the torso and the greaves, as well as the boots and gauntlets as well as makeing the armor fit the base body model.

Oh don't get me wrong, i was just wondering if you actually made one for Oblivion thats all, like after Fallout was released.

There's some pretty nice armor that i'd like to convert without using a fair bit of my own time, but guess not, still thanks anyway
