I ported this to TTW and though my version doesn't work, I see the ingenuity behind this and I laughed my ass off on the titles. I love this mod, I wish I had discovered it sooner. It's wonderful! My I have your permission to port publicity? This should be more widely know for the ingenious concept! It's fantastic even without the comedy.
...you looked at it...but you obviously didn't download it and try it... ...I'm not looking for a debate on buddhism, and I'm sorry if this sounds impolite but, if you're not going to try the mod, then don't bother offering criticism, especially if all you do is criticize without offering a better alternative...if you've got a better suggestion, it's more than welcome, but if you aren't planning on using the mod, or you can't be more constructive with your criticism, then don't bother with commenting at all (this applies to everyone really)...
...the Eightfold Path book lowers your fighting skills...the enlightened shouldn't require violence...and the MacGuyver book lowers your lockpick skill because you waste your bobby pins using them to make cool MacGuyver stuff...if you have the right perks, these books actually have benefits, but I won't divulge the details because using the books are intended to be more of a live and learn experience...I will mention that the George Bush quotes book works well with the Child at Heart Perk...but you didn't read the description, you merely looked at the pictures, so it begs to be asked...where did you find copy of the Noble Eightfold Path with enough illustrations to keep your interest?
...also, why the problem with this one book, next you're gonna write Bethesda to complain about the misuse of the word Karma in the game, and how it could slightly damage the misconceptions people already have about the meaning of the word...(you shouldn't start sentences with the word also by the way)...also...MacGuyver was a tool, I watched it when it was on...O'Neill was a way better character for Richard Dean Anderson's awesomeness to not be wasted on...
I feel that some of your stuff should be more cannon then modern realistic stuff. only reason im not downloading this is because of the lack of canon. it does appear to be well done and you should keep up the good work. also if you made one series of books that was caannon and one that was not that would be cool, but I would understand if you don't.
though I like the macguyver pun that's funny. Bush though... there are worst speakers out there than him and definitely someone old enough to be considered cannon.
you should name the book that lowers the unarmed skill as 'Walker Texas Ranger' as a chuck Norris pun. how this makes sense is because people would be focused on how cool the fighting looks to actually learn how to do it right, buuut if they had lets say a decent intelligence/perception stats they would look much closer and study it and actually learn something.
these are only a couple of ideas you could use, I only posted this here because of the last guys lousy comment.
Thanks...I really need to finish this mod...I'm wrapping up two other projects currently, I suppose I can squeeze this one in between my next group of update projects...
OMG! This's a perfect addition to my tenpenny penthouse! I've not laughed at what's in a mod in a while. Kudos to you & can't wait for an update & part 3.
Great mod,i got an idea for some anti-S.P.E.C.I.A.L. books: Strength: Couch potato weekly Perception:Some random book with VERY SMALL font Endurance:Spoiled brat daily Charisma:How to become a misanthrope:10 easy steps IntelligenceUM DUM WANT GUM GUMAgility:Butterfinger's book on how to be clumsy Luck:Book of native american taboo and other crap
I looked at it and... honestly I don't understand what The Noble Eightfold Path is doing here. I understand how George Bush Quotes could lower your Speech skill, that I get. But The Noble Eightfold Path, while it might slightly damage your understanding of true Buddhism... what skill could that possibly represent to hurt your understanding of? I've read that book and, while interesting and I know somewhat off base from the true Buddhist tradition, I can't see where it would hurt a skill.
Also, MacGuyver is a true legend and should not hurt your Repair skill. Because Richard Dean Anderson is that awesome. Next you're gonna put in a Chuck Norris book and have it hurt your Unarmed skill
