this does nothing except trick the game into thinking your computer is using a 20 year old GPU which makes your GPU run at 10-18% and gives you TERRIBLE performance. Its essentially PC snake oil
yea my fault i didnt have the Tick Fix installed that actually made it alot better. but what i ended up doing is downgrading my driver to 23.12.1 on AMD it was a driver issue that is causing this atleat on AMD side
friend, this was uploaded 14 years and 1 gender ago, to make it easier for other people to find a working fix for a very specific issue affecting laptops with integrated Intel graphics. if you're using it with a modern, non-Intel GPU - that being anything newer than, iunno, 2011? - you're using the wrong tool for your problem. kind of like complaining your screwdriver isn't very good at being a hammer.
Does this work for fallout 3 goty? tried it and it didnt work. I placed it in the folder that has the fallout3exe file but still nothing. i tried other fixes but nothing has worked yet. is there any other fixes that you could recommend?
I have the Fallout 3 GOTY Freshly Installed NO Mods added yet.. I had the Issue where Clicking " New " Game Start would Crash to Desktop.. I Verified the Integrity of game files using Steam.. After doing so I downloaded this Mod Fix and Simply Dragged and Dropped the " d3d9.dll " File Provided onto the Fallout 3 GOTY Directory Located: C:\steam\steamapps\common\fallout3goty. ( This is where the Fallout 3.exe application is located )
After taking these simple steps the Game works great NO more Crash to desktop upon clicking " New " Game start. ( For those Wondering I have " Windows 10 Pro " Mod Fix works Flawlessly although Mod description says " Windows 7 ". )
If still having Issues I would Recommend something like " Games For Windows LIVE Disabler " I would also Recommend following this guide on steam here : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2644976607
