Rather good! The vanilla disintegration effects were fun as novelties, but my suspension of disbelief prefers physical body remains.
I modified this mod to suit my tastes by using FO3edit and removing the "No duration" and "Persistent FX" flags from the disintegration effects. The result is that the enemies will glow and ragdoll on death, but then immediately lose the fluo glow and translucence after hitting the ground. Best of both worlds : Cool-looking energy weapon criticals but also realistic and usable dead bodies.
Very clever, and works as advertised... :)Would be even cooler if you could manage to add the bloody-mess perk's effect as the last stage (that way you'd get a whole bunch of unidentifiable little green chunks scattered around instead of glowing creatures/humanoids.)
Same problem, even with no mods enabled except the Unofficial Patch. Really hate goo (doing a scavenged food/cannibalism healing only run), but not as much as I want my loot. Invisible bodies are either far too time-consuming to locate or far too frustrating to deal with when there's 10 in one spot.
Appears to be "compatible" with EVE - however, it doesn't perform the operation desired - you get the cool death effects (awesome!) and then.....EVE ash piles after the visual
Same problem as PygSistem. Using the Alien Blaster instead of getting bodies like in Screenshot 2 (nice cool blue charged and vaporized effect) I get invisible bodies. Makes them even harder to spot than the old Ash Piles.
I like the idea of this mod. Downloading now to test out. Mainly the thing that annoyed me was how after "trans-mod-figur-ation" into goo and ash piles, the bodies were unaffected by items such as "Zap It", which I often use in heavy body piles of my victims.
If Zap It works with this, I will be very pleased. After all, as my grandpappy use to say, "a clean battleground is a happy battleground."
