While I do admit this does make more sense than just randomly gaining the perk after stepping out of the simulation, I was still a bit disappointed since my playthrough of the add-on didn't really change much. So while I do think it's more explainable, and thus shows more of the possibility, I think overall it doesn't really affect much. But I will say, it was nice to try out.
This mod is for roleplaying reasons mainly. It gives the player a choice for Power Armor Training, and an explanation to where the PA Training comes from in Anchorage. It also lets you wear PA in the simulation.
yeah, i like that i can get the training beffor the end of the main story line . makes it easy to ignore the main story untill a higher level and still get power armor .
Also, this mod enables you to use Winterized T-51b Power Armor within the simulation itself. That was not possible in the vanilla Operation Anchorage. Being unaffected by the pulse field in this PA is a bit of a flaw in the mod though. You should go down as fast as the other PA troopers, but you don't. If it bugs you you can role-play. Say, "Oh crap, I better put on my Combat Armor until I shut this field off."
Read the description people, he knows you get power armor training in the base game, he was saying that he was bugged that they don't explain why/how you get it.
I think this looks like a good mod and I'll see if I can squeeze it into my mess of hardly compatible mods, I'll use it.

It also bothered me that there was no cue to tell you that you received power armor training. With this I can actually make the choice.
