War1982 brought back the classics in Classic Fallout Weapons, but that project has not been updated or even commented in for a loong time. So I've taken up the reins and am guiding this beast into the unknown future. I can rebuild it. I have the technology. Faster. Stronger. And best of all it won't cost you six million dollars. It's free!

This is my overhaul of CFWR. This mod injects dozens of classic weapons into FO3, but also new sounds, classic ammo, a new loot system, more details on shells and bullets, shotguns that can fire one or two barrels, assault rifles that can be set to semi-auto or burst fire without changing weapons and more. All weapons have been rebalanced and reworked to meld together into a cohesive mod, rather than a simple compilation.

I am also quite active and have way too much time on my hands so if you have questions/comments/suggestions post on the mod page.

Ok, what does this mod bring to the table you ask? Weapons of course.. weapons. Lots of them. Here's the list. (* denotes selective fire mode weapons) All weapons have appeared previously in a Fallout game (1, 2 and/or Tactics) and use the ammunition they did in the classic game, as well as belong to the weapon categoty they did (in other words the M72 and PPK12 are SMALL GUNS as they should be, not energy weapons).

That's 82 weapons injected into your game, plus a few variants. They will spawn on NPCs who will shoot you with them. You will find them as you explore the wasteland and you can buy them from various vendors you meet in your travels. They have been balanced and adjusted so they do not feel like a bunch of random weapons thrust together into a mod. The leveled lists put appropriate weapons in the proper hands and scale them for level.

I have also included much more, in the form of details to help immerse you in the game. When you fire these weapons they eject proper shell casings for the ammunition they fire. The bullets are scaled to size and detail for their caliber. The ammo you find in (or drop into) the world is varied and tailored with detailed packaging/clips. The sounds of the weapons vary from each to the next, even in the same caliber class. There are many scopes, some have silencers and some laser aiming modules.

Uniques are sometimes a completely different model than the "base" weapon they represent. Some vanilla weapons have been replaced by classics and the uniques remain the FO3 model. Sometimes the opposite is true.

Install:

1. Extract the files from the archive.
2. Copy files to (install folder)\Fallout 3\Data\
3. Start Fallout 3 Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esm file. If you are using EVE, check the CFWRLoadLastEVE.esp too.

Compatibility:
===============

This mod is incompatible with mods that alter Leveled Item lists specific to weapon distribution or that make changes to vanilla or CALIBR ammunition, projectiles or weapons. It is not intended for use with overhauls such as Fook 2 or FWE and will conflict or be overridden by them. It does not alter game settings so most of the popular tweaks, weather and interior mods should be fine. It comes with an EVE patch so it can run using EVE's enhanced energy effects. It runs fine with MMM. If you are having trouble with a mod not mentioned here post it in the comments. I'll see what I can do to either make it compatible or create a patch for you.
