    A much needed mod premise, but I found even its lastest version is too much of a half-fix. I play on essentially "extremely hard" (a modded difficulty setting that's 20% harder than very hard). Unsurprisingly, I used to find Point Lookout too difficult. But with this mod the difficulty of facing swamp folk goes all the way down to being a mere cake-walk, whilst on the other hand the tribals are as tough and deadly as ever.

    Nothing works well, the only fix which sort-of works across all enemies is one of the two files here - the NPC fix (not the overhaul one):

    So far I've owned them with basic Talon Comp. Armor and Syd's SMG. Don't really see this as necessary but that's why it's a mod, can't complain too much about a mod unless it breaks the game and this one doesn't. For anyone that's wondering, I went into Point Lookout lvl. 20 with somewhat good armor/ good weapons and never died, on normal. Don't see a point in using this as im rubbish and anyone worse than me at this game should stop playing it but hey, endorsed for shits and giggles. (;

      I was able to take on all the raiders in The Pitt naked and unarmed at lvl. 30 with max stats. I couldnt even get through half of the first mansion quest without going through 30 stims when fully armed. It's not just early game that's broken.

    YES! It killed immersion to travel to Point Lookout at level 19, with my hard earned T51-b power armor and Eugene, loaded up with 11,000 5mm rounds (again hard-earned), and get creamed by tribals wearing no armor and carrying half broken hunting rifles. I'm all for a good high-level challenge, but that's just lazy game design if you ask me. Thanks for the fix!

    I can't wait to try this! I first went to Point Lookout at level 15 and to make a long story short, died FOUR TIMES (twice by swamp folk and twice by Tribals) just trying to make it up to and through the damn mansion! I reloaded my game saved back in DC and promised I'd return at level 20. I'm now level 20 and with this little beauty installed I'm gonna make those freaks suffer the wrath of my BOOMSTICK!! >

    Sounds awesome. I wound up downloading a mod to make the local's (or good ol' boys as I call them) friendly. Seemed kind of a shame as they are a good portion of the enemys in Point lookout.
    Although it was funny to watch thier AI routine for a while.
    It will be great fun to battle with them and not be slaughtered every time.
    Thank you for making this.

    Chris.

    Glad to be of help. I just heard their attack damage is ridiculously strong as well, so I'm gonna edit that as well, and post an update.
