This is a pretty good idea. One thing I disagree with, though, is that marble vessel. It just looks out of place in an otherwise industrialized location. Imagine someone having to drag it all the way to Rivet City from a church somewhere in the wasteland.
It's a few years on now, but when I got to Saint Monica's, I thought exactly the same. Very sparse for a Catholic church, nuclear apocalypse not withstanding. You could safely bet on the Roman Catholic Church, presuming that it survived in some form, firmly holding onto its traditions and accoutrements. I made my own version before I found this mod. My altar crucifix doesn't look anything like as good as this one but I did fashion it from recycled furniture and other bits of old wood. I couldn't make a font, but I did make a little votive candle altar with a Marian shrine, a confessional, a Paschal candle and even some Stations of the Cross. If the Church is still to be around they'd be dispensing the Sacraments in much the same way they for the last couple of thousand years, and this wouldn't be the first total collapse of civilisation they've weathered.
I am toying with the idea of making a reliquary containing a slave collar purported to be that of Saint Monica herself. Too Catholic?
Now if there were some ongoing quest, more reasons to GO to church...(and that goes for Atom as well, once you go inside and look around, no reason for a return visit).
That may not be your mission to ponder, but now at least there is something a bit more going on in that sacred space rather than just bulkheads and iron floors.
Dude you dont know what you are talking about, this dose NOT break lore the rivet city church is a descendant of the Catholic church, read this man......
