Great idea. I am a huge fan of Carpenter's masterpiece.
By cons I have some bugs:
- When the assimilation is complete, my character does not really look the victim. It is rather a mix between one before (or, if my character is the first victim) and the victim. - More curious Sometimes the new character has the size and look of a child. This is particularly the case for female targets.
We must also say that I use the mod "Project Beauty". Is this the cause of this problem?
If this is the case, and having a lot of mods, where he must loader: more towards the top of the list, or to the end last?
Otherwise, a few suggestions for possible improvement next update:
Embed during exploration phases, movie soundtrack ("Humanity One hand", "Humanity Part Two", "Bestiality", etc ...)
Put a pipboy icon for the item "The Thing" (Movie poster for example ...)
Finally, the ideal would be to do the same thing with every living creature (SM, insects, deathclaw, etc ...), even if it is true, I do not know how you can do that in script form, and then play a FPS while adopting the point of view of these creatures (the game was not designed for that).
Finally, this mod is still must admit, for "fun" should be able to disable the function, without need to uninstall it. So when we would resume the quests of the game in a serious way, we could do at will. And reactivate when you want to have a little fun.
Man i luv dis mod bra, yo this could be a good mod i mean you kill moriaty whilst being moira and then you morgh to moriatiy or gob and theyre not after you but they will kill moira. Can u change to a robot? or modded npc's?
cool!! idea but how about the ability to morph into a deamon like in devil may cry 3 the sparata deamon with the horns was realy cool then it would be like (might be a spoiler so if you havent played dont read this next bit) the mother died because they could not have childern so the try some gean altering and a deamon high bred was born ya and thats why the lone wander can live in all the rad being haf deamon makes him or her more resistance and stronger he he to bad could not fly to lol all that walking is harsh
Some problems I've noticed while using this newer version.
There is no way to turn off the effect. Everyone I get close to I become. You need to add a toggle on/off button that works so players can turn off the script.
- Or you could add an item with the effect attached to it (like a special necklace or collar) that while worn will allow the player to transform into somebody else. Once the player transforms into someone else the collar or necklace is placed back into their inventory and will have to be put back on again to be able to mutate into someone else.
- Or you could make a special gun that allows you to shoot whoever it is that you want to become.
- You could also create a test cell/chamber with a clone of the player's original self in it. Add an option for the player to warp to the test cell/chamber and back to wherever it was they warped from so they can mutate into their former self with a permanent clone that stays in the test cell/chamber.
I've noticed that the player becomes permanently bald headed with whoever it was they transformed into. Can this be fixed so that you look exactly like them including the victims hair?
And you should make it so that if you are seen mutating into someone else then you will be hostile with whoever it was that saw you mutating. It's a bit strange that no one would shoot me after seeing me mutate into a raider at Evergreen Mills.
The disguise system does work great though. Raiders would not attack me once I became one of them. That was really neat. I had to keep wearing their clothing though or they became hostile with me again. But that's perfectly fine.
